Card packaging...

What do you mean???? Ace e was sending this other collector some free cards in which he did not know about as a gift!!!!.... Ace e was thinking he was doing the right thing by offering him some free cards at no cost without him knowing!!!!.... Look i understand in the ways in which all of you guys here now expect every card to be sent but Ace e did not break any rules!!!!.... Just like the last thread about my sending ways , everyone made it sound like i sent my cards in a paper bag!!!!.... You know yourself as i have sent cards to you before and everything was fine [ Bubble wrapped and boxed ]....

Wow, 5 pages..? This thread was intended as just a polite 'Hey, respect the rules which are put in place for a reason, and consider all conditions when packaging because despite your best intentions, if you do it any other way things might go wrong'... it seems to have turned in to a sharing stories and complaints thread.

Guys, please, don't argue or anything on here.

he may not have broken any site rules, but im sure it's a form of fraud?, RTS is for mail which has been sent to the wrong person and they send it back at no charge, not to open the "package" take the item out put put another item back in and send it back...
Steve, im sure your item was sent out well packaged, but a on this site if you do a deal, at minimum must be sent as stipulated on this site whether you like it or not and im sure from here onwards you will...

cheers

Steve, I sent Ace e cards IAW the site rules, what he then did was to open my bubble mailer, take out my card and then to put a card in it that I might need then resealed the mailer and marked it RTS - Return to Sender and by doing so did not have to pay return postage. That was the point being made not packaging or cards etc

It always makes my day when I get a bubble mailer with unfranked stamps on it!! Reuse and no need for new stamps. Gold, sometimes I love Aus post!!

? do you still charge for postage ?

It would only be if it were local anyway, and I dont often put mark ups for postage on anything that isnt on ebay. On here I always say the dlvd price and I pretty much write off any costs for postage. I have millions of toploaders, loads of envelopes to recycle and I can afford 2 60c stamps.

heres an example i hoped would never be sent to me.... just a reminder guys that single toploaders on each side of thick cards with tight tape does more damage than help, i would at least expect to see penny sleeves for the cards in the middle.

ouch! what was their excuse for not putting it in one of the toploaders?

/\/\ doesnt look like the right size toploader for that thickness? still a travesty of a packaging job tho. as someone's said already, if you dont got the supplies to pack it properly, wait 'til you do...

I blame it on the the manufacturing company in producing stupidly thick base cards...

I can understand if it was patch on something that need to insert inside the card...

But THICK base card, c'mon how dumb of an idea is that!!!!!!!!! cardboard is still cardboard, increasing the quantity of it so that they can charge us collectors an extravagent amount!!!!!
