telstra always get bad reviews by all the internet geeks, downtime, poor service, terrible speeds. its the old adage, people go with them because they know the name, like nrma insurance. why people choose their products is beyond me, when there r far better options out there
as for me, i need a static ip address for my business, so i go with ozemail, im rocking adsl2, but i only have an adsl modem as im too far from the exchange to get any real benefit from the uprated modem, still, i max out my speeds, and i fly with most stuff.
my fees with my phone bundled is about $80 a month, the phone line is about $30, so the internet is about $50. i get about 21gb a month and once i reach that, its capped at 64kb
mrs aussie2al, if wireless is slow, then why not just get std adsl. dialup isnt acceptable anymore. this is a reason why australia falls behind the rest of the world when it comes to broadband usage and speeds
