Bloody Ebay Jokers!

that's why i hate dealing from overseas eBayers..

i know cards overseas have more choices for our players. but sometimes they can't even accept paypal, overcharges me, or sending bad conditioned cards without stated..

phew!!!!!!!

tired tired.

this is why i always check postage before hand... if postage is ridiculous i don't do it... sometimes if it is like $5... i include that in what i will max my bid at.... so that i don't pay anymore than i want... still i won't pay $5 for one common or not so rare card to be sent.... so there's a rider #/500 on us ebay i won't be getting lol

I won a 99c Dual Jersey (which I discovered I already had, only different colours), but anyways, postage for US was $3.50, and I get an Invoice with $12US postage!!

Emailed them and sent them links to the USPS Global Priority, and STILL they wouldnt budge.

SO...

My response.... I told them if there wasnt a $12.50 postage stamp on it, they'd get a NASTY NEG... then they told me if I didnt want it, don't buy it...

I since havent replied....

Another story...

I bought a lot of "22" Harris RC's and base, they turned up in a team bag.... nothing else (other than the bubble mailer).

Well... there was 21, and the corners were all f-cked!

They copped a NEG.

I thought I would add another eBay incident for you all to read about.

I recently sent them a request to have a WAFL Memorabilia section added, currently under Sports Memorabilia there is a SANFL area but no WAFL area so I sent them a request asking to have a WAFL section added, this is the response I got:

Hello,

Thank you for writing to eBay. My name is Marly and I understand that
you want to know how to add a second category for an item.

Please note you can revise a listing that you have created. However, if
the item has received a bid, you can only make the following changes:

- Add a second category
- Add to the item description
- Add pictures using eBay Picture Services
- Add listing upgrades to increase your item's visibility (for example,
Bold)
- Add to the payment methods you accept

To make changes to your listing, simply follow these steps:

1. Click the "My eBay" tab at the top of most eBay pages. You may be
asked to sign in.
2. In the "Items I'm Selling" section, click the title of the listing
that you want to revise.
3. Click the "Revise your item" link.
4. Find the section you want to revise:
- To add a second category, click the "Add second Category" link.
- To add to the description, click the "Add to description" link.
- To add pictures or listing upgrades, click the "Add pictures &
details" link.
- To add to the payment methods you accept, click the "Add payment &
shipping" link.

5. Make any changes, and then click the "Save Changes" button.
6. Click the "Submit Revisions" button to submit your revised listing.

***Note***
To view your changes, you may have to refresh your listing. Also, it may
take a few minutes for your updated listing to appear in search results.

I trust that this information has been useful to you. If you have any
further questions please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Regards,

Marly D.

Quite clearly they did not read my request properly and as usual apart from adding a name it is a cut & pasted response.........eBay Jokers is exactly right !!!

Speaking of ebay clowns, I just had 1 guy charge me $42US postage for 20 cards, 5 won at auction, and the other 15 bought from his ebay store (some RC's I'm chasing). The total of the cards was only about $25US, yet this idiot tries charging me $42 postage. He wouldn't budge on the postage, as his store items say postage charged is $2 each, but didn't really mention about combining postage.

Well I figured if he was gonna charge me $2 postage for each item, I would pay for them individually, and demand he sends them individually. That way if he combines the postage, I may have more a chanve in recouping some of the cost.

I had been happy with him, with some items I had previously purchased from him, but may be lining up to get my 1st negs.

Stick to your guns Clarkey, that guy is being a w*nker trying to charge you that amount ! What was his reasoning behind it ?

His reasoning was that the store items he said had detailed $2 p & h per item, but nothing about combined shipping. Figured he'd be glad to move some slow moving cards, and be decent about postage.

At least in his auctions it stated $4 for the 1st item, and then $2 per item after that.

Will wait to see if I get 16 packages ;-) in the mail, or whether he will combine them into 1 package.

The funny thing is, even if he charged $15-$20, I would've paid (although been unhappy about it), but $42, I was very annoyed.

Funniest one I delt with was a while ago there was a Finest Allen Iverson Boxtopper Auto up for auction. When I asked him how much insured postage from the US would be, his reply was "US$90 if I have calculated it right but I will double check and get back to you". Well after I picked myself off the floor and sat back in my seat I quickly sent back a response of "at that price don't bother". The best way is like some others said ask first and calculate then, nobody should just assume that it will cost a certain amount. If you ask first & they give you a answer they can not change the price then.

if they do not come individually i'd report him to ebay for profiting from postage by charging ridiculous postage...... may not do much but maybe he'd get some sor of warning email lol

I can't believe you paid it ! Keep us informed on how they come......we all know what he'll do but let us know to confirm it. If he does neg his ass Clarkey !

Its quite simple Clarkey.

This guy has decided to the stance that he didn't say that any postage discounts would be given for multiple purchases. He didnt (to my knowledge of the situation) say that the items would be sent together with no postage discount.

You have told him how you want them deliveried if they is going to be no postage discount given, so if he send them together, he has no leg to stand, you should write to eBay about sellers trying to profit from shipping charges, as one of the members here has already suggested, and give him negative for not abiding to the agreement you two set out when you purchased the cards.

Simple, in a long winded, roundabout way

Update -

Got an email from the seller today saying my items have been posted (at least 1 week after payment!!!), and it appears ALL items I won (both individual store bought items & the combined auction wins) were either all sent on the same date (16 packages) or were all sent in the same envelope.

Anyway, we'll see what happens, but Gerco, yeah that was what I was thinking. If he wasn't gonna combine upfront, then if he sent all together I would file a claim and hope to recoup some of the funds that way.
