So I won a few auctions of a guy today, there was only one I was interested in, 6 cards, $4 listed shipping. Seeing I won it, I figured I'd bid on a few other things that I could use, seeing I was already paying for shipping. All in all I won 10 auctions, 26 total cards, for $28 US. Half an hour ago I got the invoice for $52 - $24 shipping for 26 cards!! And that's US Dollars!

I couldn't believe it, at most it will cost the bloke $5 to ship them. I've complained to him, and he's spouted the usual "I've got to pay ebay fees you know" crap. Mate, so does every other seller on there, and 95% of em don't pull that shit on me. We've been engaged in an arguement over email ever since.

Suffice it to say, he'll be shipping them cheaper, or I'll be filing a complaint. What a wanker.

you gotta take a stand against pricks like these, no matter the cost. had a situation like this weeks ago and i just stood my ground on the matter, eventually we just decided to cancel the transaction, but only after 20 emails back and forth arguing.

Tell me about it I won 17 rookie cards on Monday for $5.00 (most were 1¢)
and then my postage is $15.30. thats 3 times the price of the cards.
Seppo's = dickheads

yep, they have no idea...
ive basically given up on getting cards purely because I was getting sick of paying an extra $5.00 on top of everything, just to line the sellers pocket...and thats taking everything into account (ebay fees, top loaders etc)

Yeah i had a recent run in with an ebay seller from the states... I bought 13US worth of cards and he charged me 14US Postage.... So i just refused to pay offered him 6US after a number of messages he took the 6US.... its time to take a stand against these greedy ebayers!!!!

I had a seller on Ebay Aus tell me he doesnt make any money on postage and charges exact fees, but he tells me that he charges $6 for 1 card to post...

Good luck with ya $24 postage!!

TYPICAL YANK !

I hope you don't pay him, that is RIDICULOUS !!!

He's not a yank, he's from Taiwan, which makes it even worse because he doesn't understand english properly. I've told him he only damages his business by doing shit like that because you don't get repeat bidders, and the less potential bidders you have the less your stuff sells for.

Doubt he'll come down, I've given him every justifiable reason to, his loss, I'll buy something else, he'll just relist and get less money than he did this time and shaft some other poor bastard.

I've received 1 card today, seller sent it via Global Priority Mail........Postage cost $5.25, so I am guessing it really depend on what method seller use, that would be the first question I ask seller every time I buy something.

If this joker sent global priority for these cards it would cost him $5.25, that's part of my point, I ain't paying 4 times what it costs him to ship them. I've said to him over and over again I'm happy to pay a bit extra for the hassle of posting them, but $24 for 26 cards? No way.

How did you go with this bargey?????
I'm currently sorting out with my hassel with the bloke a mentioned above after the card arrived with a $2.75 stamp. I asked him for a $10 refund and he's said no I'll only give you $6. D

Does any one know if I can get a refund through Paypal for over charged postage?

Cheers
Buzzy

i dunno if paypal will help with overcharged shipping but I know that if you open a dispute... the seller's account gets suspended, meaning they can't accept paypal for their EBay listing... so the more hassles you can give him the more likely he is going to cave ;)

Pricks I tell ya! I'm over it. I try and make sure I always ask before hand, otherwise it's there own loss. If only they'd realise, if they made shipping very cheap or at least what it actually costs they would get so many more bids!
I'm sick of being charged $5 or more for something that costs 0.84 cents plus a 40-odd cent bubble mailer to ship to me. I had an argument over 20-odd emails for a 98-99 T-Mac SP SOTT auto. He wanted to charge me $10 to ship it economy post! He didn't have a price in his listing. So I told him it only costs very little (as above) and he said, my minimum for international shipping is $7, so you HAVE to pay that. You can guess what I said:lol: =D>
Needlass to say, he said he didn't want to sell it to me and told me not to bid on his items again. He also said that other people out there really wanted the card and were willing to pay, well, obviously not if I won it well below beckett value:lol:

Im not sure why they charge so much for postage and 'handling' they seem to be semi retarted gimps whos time works out to be roughly $40an hour which aint quite right, HR managers earn that money , not retards that cant pack cards properly!
