Well the NRL GF is nearly starting?? Here are my bets....

First Tryscorer - Steve Turner - Straight @13.00
Either team under 6.5 points - Straight @2.90
Total Match Points - 21-30 Points - Straight @3.20
Line - Melbourne under 12.5 points - Straight @ $3.25

Only $5 on each of the first three....but $50 on the last one....

Anyone else having a punt??

Can you explain this to me?? If any of these horses win each race you get 5% of the total Quadie Jackpot...is that right??

Yeah thats right, with the flexi-quad if i get the winner in all 4 races i get a 5% share of whatever the Quaddie Pays, so if the Quaddie payed $10,000 i would win $500.00 (or 5%) for my $54.00 investment. I had a near-miss with a 5% flexi-quad on last years Mebourne Cup meeting, i got the winner in the first 3 races but my horse in the last race 'Aztec Smytzer' ran wide and finished 3rd, and if it had of won the Quaddie would have paid $220,000 so my 5% share would have been $11,000, so close.

Anyone got any tips for the Cox Plate? It's looking like the weakest Cox Plate field in years. I might put something each-way on 'Cefalu' in the Moonee Valley Cup.

I'll be whacking a bit on Theseo for a place myself. His last 2 runs have been good, and in the Epsom he was powering home while some of the other leaders faded, including a few in this race. And Nash Rawillier as the jockey can't hurt. And outside Samantha Miss and Princess Coup, either of which COULD run a shocker, it's a pretty wide open affair. As far as other racing today, I was surprised Whobegotyou was racing in the Vase today and then again on next saturday. Will it be pulled out of one of these, or race in both?

BTW, how'd you go on that flexi-quad? I know u got the last 3 legs, coz I was on them myself, but what about the first, and how much did it end up paying? Coz it sounds like a bet type that could be fun if it pays well...

Yeah, i just missed out with that Flexi-Quad at Geelong, my horse in the 1st Leg finished 2nd, i think the Quaddie ended up paying around 3 Grand, although it would have paid over 20 Grand if 'Straight Legs' had of won the Last Leg. You definately need a lot of patience with Flexi-Quads, i wish i had a dollar for every 3-Legged Quaddie i've had. Flexi-Quads can pay well, but you really need a couple of outsiders to win to get the big returns.
