I personally like that it is not AFL endorsed. Imagine having an authentic Chris Judd signature from before he was drafted - surely at least one of these players will end up being a big star. These will always be this group of players first authentic signature cards. I like that they are not assosiated to a team too. Because if one of these players move to the bombers in the future, I don't have to have another team in my collection (Damian Cupido )
And the fact that footycards selected all these players before they were even drafted is a dam good effort. I think only 1 or 2 didn't actually get drafted, which proves to me they are passionate about what they do.
yeah i personally dont really care too much that this product isnt AFL endorsed. maybe one day it will be, we can only hope. i think Select should stick to kids stuff and footycards could do the high end stuff, both under licence, now that would be great. when you think back, if judd, hodge, gibbs, franklin, selwood etc etc had signature cards from before they were drafted, and they were numbered to only 50 or less, a real team collector would want that card, i know i would. i dont think these cards will lose too much value due to such a limited run. i already cant wait until footycards does another release.
Why does it need to be AFL endorsed? These players were not on an AFL list when they signed on the dotted line. The player's managers and management companies endorsed the release. Infact I am lead to believe that the player managers involved are extremely happy with the product and the response it has gotten.
Congrats also 4WDExtreme. That is an awesome card. I am extremely jealous. A lot of talk on here of this being the first one pulled. Have we got confirmation of that. I know I wouldnt tell anyone. Even if just to avoid the 300 thousand PM's you would receive asking if it was for sale.
Doesnt matter to me if its not afl endorsed. As long as the player and player manager endorsed it is fine with me.
there will surely be some duds being 36 of them but Im certain there will be some stars there aswell, no different to any other draft pick signature set released
having a look at what players were selected for the set, footycards got 6 of the top 8 in the draft, and 15 players of the first round of 26, only one of the 36 players not on an afl list, since the players were decided on pre draft cant complain about that ratio
If I was a team collector I couldnt imagine not having the first siganture card of a player on the list
no one will ever know for sure if it was the first one pulled, just the first one pulled that anyones heard about, dave included
to me thats what makes this card so special, we may never see or hear of the other 2
not to mention it redeems 36 guernsey patch cards all numbered out of 3
what afl card has ever redeemed something as cool as that

that is a good way of looking at it
another thing I like about this release is that its not only just the first round draft picks signatures chosen, there is a few of these non first round draft picks used that have already showed plenty and its ONLY rd 4 nab cup, I hate the fact that collecting port cards mainly that there are some 2nd 3rd 4th round picks which are good players that I will more than likely never get a signature card
with a set like this there is hope that I may get an auto for some of them, like last years set, I got a newton and young both 2nd round draft picks which both still have potenetial to be guns. would have loved to get an oshea card though
take hird for an example being pick 76 I think it was
imagine what the first signature card limited to only 50 of him would be worth, and on top of that what a nickname signature limited to only 25 would be worth $$$$

The 1996 hall of fame grand redemption is probably the coolest thing I've seen, although there is only one redemption card for the set of sigs so ppl don't like it ( I still love it). This would be second maybe first if they include sigs on the patches. Don't know enough about this ultimate redemption yet.
didnt mean it had to be endorsed just commented loosely that he said it was the best AFL card where it can be said that it is not an AFL card personally I dont care if it is or isnt just meant he should have said it was the best Football card
