Automatic Feedback

So you're saying the auto feedback should only be available for Premium members? So if the person you do the deal with is not a premium member then there is no automatic feedback? Who is to say a premium member isnt one of the worst offenders at leaving feedback. Does the person who is not a premium member not get auto feedback because they aren't.

It's an idea I thought of (making it exclusive) but isnt this a tool that should be available to all?

If someones experience on the site is enhanced by them automatically getting feedback and possibly sticking around long term, instead of doing 20 deals and getting pissed off about getting 3 feedback back and then leaving forever.

Which one is better?

Have a real good read of the Become A Premium Member thread - there was a heap of different questions and answers in that thread. Post any followups in there if you can. Would like to keep this about the Auto Feedback stuff.

Im sure a couple of items sold on ebay per month would come in at more than $5. Think of the Premium Memverships as your way of contributing to ensure we are able to continue to survive.

At less than $0.20 per day its not a big layout when you think about how much money some people are saving by selling on here as compared to ebay.

all good graham just sick of this site being propped up by the premium members, there is still no clear difference between the 2.
also if this feature was only for the premium members then it would still prompt the other premium and non premium members to leave fb? correct? I do think that this feature should be made available to all as its a fantastic idea. In saying that would it be viable to look at getting paid to advertise on this site ect?? then a portion of that could go to site up grades ect?

I've just done a massive clean out of all old trade threads prior to 1/3/12 that were sitting In Progress and moved them to completed.

Any deals that are since that date will automatically be moved to completed once both parties have left feedback.

I'm hoping that this new system will go through and give feedback for the deals that have feedback from one person and give automatic feedback. This will then complete the deal.

Currently there are 1825 deals not completed. That means that at least 1825 feedback has not been given one way. Some of those deals feedback may not have been given both ways.

This will act the same way. You will automatically receive feedback.

I think it's a good idea, I just hope it doesnt promote people NOT to leave "real" feedback, knowing the system will leave it for them after 30days.

If you could "strike" people somehow, as a counter-measure that'd be good too.

Hopefully not, but it will at least allow those that do the right thing to get feedback.

Hopefully the many reminders people get for not leaving feedback will bug them into actually doing it. Multiply the number of reminders over a few deals.....

Version 1 of this was received yesterday, I asked for some changes to be made. Should have another version in the next day or so.

When it comes, I will close the forum, run a backup and run the auto feedback script. If there's a problem, i'll revert to the backup. If not, then almost 2000 feedback will be left and those who don't leave feedback will be pestered to leave it

Ahh frustrating. Got through leaving feedback and it looked like it was good but then it fell over. Reverted back again and now waiting for another fix.

i was getting all these emails about feed back and they weren't working when i clicked the links etc, the i could get in at all..... i thought i had been blocked or something..hahahaha

I think that is a bit much.. I have done heaps of trades.. Given heaps of feedback.. And heaps have never returned it.. It doesn't make me angry.. It's part of the way things work on these sites... And my care factor for my feedback is non existent..

I work away alot.. I leave feedback probably monthly.. When I honestly get a chance to get on a real computer without doing things through my phone.. I catch up on feedback for here.. eBay and everything else that needs attention gets it when I am home..

A ban for not leaving feedback?.. Really has no point.. Other than to annoy people.. And a one week ban will lose you more members than it will keep....
