Australia are officially a rabble!

I think they should have more Australia vs Australia A games, Split the senior guys into 2 groups, then fill the rest with the youngsters, that way they are still learning from the senior blokes, but getting some more exposure.

And someone for christ sakes get rid of the selectors.

They definatley need to put Smith in the test team, we need to have a stable long term spin option, he will only get better.

We also need to bring through some younger fitter quicks, look at how often Siddle, Bollinger or Hilfenhaus have been off due to injury. We need a line and lenght bowler, a strike bowler and a bloke who can hit the deck hard, with Smith and Watson you could even include a fourth quick.

Our batsmen do more often than not fall short of a good target, but from the looks of it, our bowlers haven't a hope in hell of taking 20 wickets.

Just my 2 cents worth.

The comment from Dean Jones about Jamie Cox being a national selector was, in my view, spot-on.

Now I have always admired Jamie Cox, I thought he was a tremendous ambassador for cricket. This is not an attack on him Per se.

However, as a young bloke (Xavier Doherty for example) making your way through the ranks, how easy would you find it to take on-board the advice from someone who has never played international cricket?

Here is my side:
Chris Rogers
Phil Jaques
Brad Hodge
Phil Hughes
Andrew Symonds
Andrew MacDonald
Graeme Manou
Jason Kreja
Bret Lee
Ryan Harris
Stuart Clark

Andrew Hilditch 12th man ( in case a happy hooker is needed)

I'm not sure what you are picking here........is it a franchise team for T20?

I'm just sick of hearing about the rebuilding phase quote the senior players often come out with....here's some news for them the last note worthy Test retirements (McGrath / Warne / Langer) was 4 years ago and in the one dayers Hayden / Gilchrist followed suit soon after following the 2007 World Cup.....that's long enough !!!!!

It's just a tongue in cheek dig at the selectors.

"While talk of the team dominated his time, Hilditch also said the biggest thing for Australia to work out was why they were losing close matches. Over the past 18 months the Test side has thrown away winning positions in Cardiff and Mohali, while the one-day outfit was swamped by a sensational comeback from Sri Lanka in Melbourne last week."

Who can help the "happy hooker"?.

If the selectors have no answer, who does?.
