Aussie Card Shop Directory

Yes Kings Comics used to be a good shop when it was down the escalators near Hyde Park. Except for that arrogant and unwashed Yank they had working there.... "Ay cairn ownley geeve yoo crairdeet."
As far as I'm aware, there are no full-sports cards shops in NSW anymore....bugger!
Back in the mid-late 90's, myself and 4 buddies would travel to Sydney from Wollongong on the train for a whole day of just going to card shops - there used to be about 10 different ones we went to each time! Aaahhh the good ole days.....

you just have to get yourself along to the card shows then :)

I know of a small shop in Melbourne. Its shop 22 in the Paramount Complex near the corner of Burke Street & Exhibition St. I recently bought 2 hobby boxes of Ultra there for $65 per box.

To all the Melbourne heads out there, who remembers the card store in Box Hill, Victoria? I remember going there when i was about 10...

haha...there were quite alot of basketball card shop back in the glory days...I live in Keysborough, and at Parkmore shopping centre used to be a basketball card shop...sorta glad its not there anymore though because id probably be poor all the time, it was a quick 3 minute jog from my house!

honestly like I mentioned before. We should really have the first post updated when new shops open.

Maybe a mod can sticky a directory thread somewhere, with only that one post list of all shops in all states. There is just to many posts here.

If it is kept up to date old stores that may no longer excist can be removed also. This thread is 2years old, surely one of these has moved locations or closed.

Canberra -

Dee's Comics and Books, Belconnen

Rock Wallaby, Tuggeranong Hyperdome, Tuggeranong

These are the only two stores in the ACT and mainly do boxes and packs but are limited by their supplier (in melbourne) and buy the stupid pricing policy mr howard put into effect after dollar crashed.

Slightly off topic but are the guys that run Dream Cards in Melbourne City on here? Just got a question why he doesn't answer his phone or open his store during his stated trading hours
Don't think I will be returning.

Scotty

yeh, same happened to me i was in melbourne for a week , about 5 mins away from that shop and the whole week was never open, don't know of any business that will survive like that, he missed out on a few hundred bucks that day.

Not really a winning combination when your ebay site says that if you come in to the shop they will do a better price and either a. the shop isn't open (happened today) or b. the shop isn't open till 1 hour after it is supposed to and then the boxes are dearer than the ebay shop  (happened last time)

Was willing to give the benefit of the doubt but they have done there dash for me now

Even though they are open Thurs, Fri, Sat, they're still not there on random days.
My money is going elsewhere.
I don't think they sell that cheaply anyway

...I live in Keysborough, and at Parkmore shopping centre used to be a basketball card shop...

I just moved here with the gf recently. Too bad its not around anymore.

I dropped by DREAM CARDS SHOP at The Paramount Centre. It wasn't open! Read the notice on the door...says they're open Thur, Fri and Sat from 1pm to 7pm. Small shop indeed but I noticed the prices on sealed boxes to be decent. Not sure if they're reasonable prices but I'm considering buying a box for myself. I NEED A SIGNATURE CARD to add to me personal collection.:) So I'm gonna head back there tomorrow.
