I am not happy with the N.R.L.
Sydeny Roosters forward Jared Waerea-Hargreaves was choosen by the fan to play in the N.R.L All-Stars by the fans he won the vote.
The day before the team was announced he got a phone call telling him congratulations you are the fans choice for the Roosters,he is a man who takes this very serious being choosen by the fan,he players for the roosters,and New Zealand he wears his heart on his sleeve.
Michael Jennings signed with the roosters after voting had finished he would have been the panthers choice but because he left they needed to put another panthers player in which was Tim Grant fair enough but because their are a few extra forwards Jared Waerea-Hargreaves gets a phone call telling him he cant be in the side because of that reason so they are going to put second choice Shaun Kenny-Dowall nothing against Shaun hes a good bloke,the fans choose Jared Waerea-Hargreaves this was the fans choice by the rules so in other words fit him into the side because the fans choose him.
What if their is 12 back choosen to play are the going to change it around to suit themselfs.I SAY NO the this is the game for the fans by the fans so N.R.L GET YOUR HANDS OFF Fans choice not yours make it happen.
The N.R.L Commisson should step in and do what is right if you beleive in the fans give the fans what they wanted not what you want.
You want us to vote give us the players we want not what you want.
I would love to get Gerry Harveys numbers and ring him and tell him i am only one fan you may not think to much about it but if it happened to you fav player from your team what would you do.
Give us our game back.
 
The bigger disgrace would be an All Star team with Jared Waerea-Hargreaves. I'd hardly call him a Star player
 
Voting system they have that one player from each team in the N.R.L then you have Australia and New Zealand Captain straight selection then you have the coaches choice but he does choose a day or 2 before team announcements.
 
Other than a couple of missing full stops and spaces between sentences it was easy to follow and well thought out. Shame that some people feed on the faults of others though, regardless of how minor they may be.

Cricket Australia had a People's Choice sort of set-up with the ACA All-Stars a couple of seasons ago and it was a bloody fool of an idea, I reckon these things are always fraught with danger Corey and it makes a mockery of people voting in the first place.
 
Why not stand up and do something about it.
I have been in contact with Harvey Norman because they are the major sponsor,if people want to stop this happening get onto Harvey Normans Facebook page and complain as they are following it up now but the more people who jump up and down about it then the n.r.l will no this is the fans game get your hands off give it back to the people.
Why should the n.r.l be able to change what the fans want I maybe one person but guess what if more people get on their and say this is wrong then maybe they will look at doing something about it.
 
Sorry Corey don't feel your enthusiasm on this one, I like the concept of All Stars but its only an exhibition game, nothing more than a pre season trial.

Yep I get what you're saying Corey, but let it go mate, it's not that big a deal breaker. I'd actually be more worried about having Jennings as a rooster. And if it were possible, the fans should have had a better crack at voting in Sonny Bill as opposed to JWH, if there were a superstar in their ranks, $onny would be it.

Also, think of it another way, it's one less game for big Jared who can be injury prone.
 
I worry about top players getting injured in this game, maybe it should be moved to the end of the season. I just can't get excited about it though; the concept, community involvement etc are wonderful for Rugby League and fans but as Corey highlighted the selection process does leave a bit to be desired.
 
Yeah I'm with you on this Corey but the whole thing is a farce. Travis Waddell is an all-star and he does not even have a contract with an NRL club.

I probably wont waste my time watching it and just hope the Knights players get through uninjured.
 
But this is the problem this is the game for the fans by the fans some people it does not bother them well it does bother me.
This is the last thing in the n.r.l that is about the fans do you want to lose the game of rugby league,this is all the fans have left don't give it up.
 
Hardly giving up anything....
It's not like the match was cancelled!!
That being said a character like JWH is great for the game....
It is what it is... Hardly worth getting to worked up over!!
(I'm guessing you had some plans for JWH in relation to your memorabilia??)
 
its does not matter that i know Jared,you don't get it what is your fav team and player gets booted out because of this crap,you dont get it do you care about the game,do you like the rule changes every year did you know that the rule changes started with making the play the ball quicker,what happens next year if their are 12 backs choosen to play and 5 forwards are they going to boot some of them out to put forwards in,and you fave player missed out because they need a forward so the player you voted for gets the boot its not about me knowing Jared,being a roosters player the powers to be have taken control of everything in the game and this is the only thing left for the fans to have their say and now they are going to take that away.
If you want them to do that so be it but when its happens next year or the year after don't complain.
Its the same as people who don't vote complain about whos in power they had a choice if they don't take that chance they have nothing to complain about.
 
How card you say this is only a trial game.
some league player maybe the only rep jersey they get and you call it a trial.
When it first started Benji Marshall said this is get its a honor to play with Darren Lockyer because he plays for new Zealand and you call it a trial.
You don't follow rugby league do you.

I actually worry about these games, Benji risks injury in a game like this...
For what??
It's a novelty game... Get over it!!
 
its just a trial for mine... and they did warea hargreaves a favour, the idiot wouldve tried putting on a big shot and had himself suspended before the season even started
