Advice on NBA Packs and Boxes: Ask your questions here!

Im a Newb when it comes to basket ball cards had a little stint at basketball cards when Shaq was the rookie to have. I want to start a Kyrie Irving PC followed by a Steve Adams PC down the track. Just need to know what are the best rookie cards by release and brand without exquisite included. I also wonder if there are any draft lottery card redemption's circulating.

What rookie cards would you be after. Don't know who Steve Adams is, but Kyrie Irving hasn't been in boxes yet.

Are 2010 -2011 Panini Threads blaster boxes any good?

Blaster boxes are mainly base with a couple of inserts and possibly a GU or auto

Good for putting sets together but not really good if you looking for hits
The threads set from 10/11 does contain some nice wood rookie autos though but wouldn't count on getting one in a blaster.

What do you want to collect? Lmk and I can offer some suggestions

geez i hope theres a Good insert! i got a cheap box online, im afraid i might have got the wrong box :( not collecting anything other than Spurs cards!

Hi!

What is the best box to buy (if any) to pull a guaranteed Michael Jordan or Magic Johnson auto? Preferably autos that are insterted IN boxes, not those that need to be sent away for via redemption cards.

Thanks heaps!

Matt.

Hi can you tell me what the best product is for hitting Durant AUs? im thinking of either getting a whole lot of some like cheap Panini Update, or some 07/08 Rookie threads or 07/08 Hot Prospects or SP rookie edition? Im chasing any Autos dont have to be RC thats why maybe buying like 6 boxes of update is best option? Prefer on card obviously. any help is most apreciated.

Steve

Better off buying singles to be honest.

Would say the UD Chronology would be best for Rookie cards because they are just sick! For just general on-card I can't really recommend any. Panini's flooded the market with stickers of everyone except for Kobe =/

I'd be ineterested in peoples thoughts too!

I have only bought one box but I certainly like the look of the the cards I got!
The base is very impressive!

I love the designs on Certified (going after red, blue and base sets myself), but the boxes are terrible value, probably the only box in a case to make your money back is the one with the case hit :(

Really? At about $75 a box I thought they were good value ?!?
(Of course you have to add postage onto that)

They are selling on eBay for $145 a box which is NOT good value.....

Totally Right! Nice looking card but really horrible value. I bought like 13 boxes of this product and only one box I made my money back by pulling a Kobe REDEMPTION.
Also, remember your case hit can be someone like Nene 1/1 base...

Hmm maybe I won't buy another box then lol

What is good value for money these days?

can i just say people that are wanting to buy boxes because they are chasing specific autos like durant jordan or johnson, your better off just buying the auto you want. opening boxes is pretty much the same as gambling and unfortunately the house almost always wins.

Couldn't agree more!

But the addition to bust is a strong force......lol

Have to agree, I might put that as a disclaimer on the first post

I think Gold Standard is pretty good value at current price. Case contains dual auto, Kobe auto, gold piece. Also chance for solid gold cards that sell for thousands of $$$.
Of course you have to bear the chance of only make $15 from a box.
