my grandmother was forced to give up smoking after a pack a day for 55 years when she was admitted to hospital, she did it completely cold turkey..

After 3 lung collapses and finally a lung operation ive still continued to smoke..
I suppose the big let off for me was when the doctor said likly this would have happened even if i didnt smoke.
He did say ide be better of without them..
At 43 ive SERIOUSLY been thinking about doing it..
Ive tryed before and had a fair bit of trouble with cravings,mood swings etc.
So how did you do it.... gum, patches,pills,apuncture....
