I really couldnt give a rats if my attitude is positive or not mate.

You neg'd a guy for pretty much no apparent reason. You'd be pissed if you sold something on Ebay and copped one cos you didnt use a team bag or something shitty like that....I know I would.

Are you not that reasonable that you couldnt email/PM or openly discuss this BEFORE issuing the negative?

It's just sad that we're trying to make this place one of the greatest card collecting forums, and have members such as yourself issuing a negative for a real shitty reason.

ebay is different, no one 'gives a rats' about each other on there.
i'd like to think ozcards is different. that a new member receiving a neg would get the help and attention required.

wouldnt u be shitty if u received both a harris auto and a harris insert in the same penny sleeve, and then inside a dangerously broken toploader? of course u would be shitty, and i bet you'd say a hell of alot worse about your fellow trader than i have/would.

just because u cant understand my reasoning for the neg doesnt mean that its not apparent to others.

Well Scotty he was LUCKY it wasn't damaged more. The opportunity was certainly there. Thats why the new guidelines are there. To prevent damage as much as possible. Sending them was careless not malicious. Its not really a big deal as I'm sure the guy has learnt what to do. Its really got nothing to do with all of us all except for the fact that we voice that sending them in such a scenario is inappropiate.

personally, i believe a neg should only be used as a last resort, after all other avenues of negotiation have been exhausted. as it sounds like proto didnt try and sort the situation out before giving a neg (correct me if im wrong), i believe it was unwarranted.

putting 2 cards in a sleeve is hardly crime of the century, and using a damaged toploader, well i cant make a definitive comment until i see the actual condition of the toploader. But the biggest factor of all, the condition of the cards, was satisfactory according to proto. i dont understand, should a neg be given simply because the POTENTIAL was there for the cards to be damaged??? and if the cards were damaged, surely you could have worked out some sort of restitution agreement with Ash, and if he wasnt helpful, then by all means neg his ass.

add all these factors up, and giving a neg for these so called indiscretions seems like a knee jerk reaction on proto's behalf. you say you think ozcards is different from ebay, where no one cares about each other, but your actions speak otherwise.

well im sorry this is all being taken the wrong way, and trust me if i'd known this was going to be the outcome i'd have considered a different course of action. however, just as admiral wasn't aware his packing method wasnt satisfactory, i was also not aware of the proper course of action in dealing with this situation.

making it even more difficult is that everyone here seems to have a different opinion concerning how this should have been dealt with.

admiral is human and makes mistakes, i felt a neg would ensure these mistakes were not repeated.
i also am human, and my only mistake is being incapable of pleasing everyone

frankly im just tired of having to answer for my actions. i'm sorry to whoever feels ive done wrong, and i hope it won't impact anyone's decision to trade with me in future.

OK guys thats enough.

The matter has been dealt with. As a result i would like to thank Proto for complying with us. He has re-submitted a Neutral response which i think is more than fair.

As a further result in the coming days i will be emailing a Feedback Guideline, outlining the expected Feedback Responses from certain scenario's, which im sure will help us in the future. This will go out to all the members of this community.

NOW LETS GET BACK TO ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY ;)

This forum is great. People have problems and everyone chips in to help sort it out till it is done. What a great team! =D> Shows how much everyone cares. :)

At the end of the day I'm sure Proto and Admiral have both learnt from this experience whilst providing another nomination for classic threads - without doing much ;) Very entertaining.

ps you ok Stevo?

My 2 cents. I don't think it's a great idea for there to be a thread like this on the forum. Shouldn't such matters be resolved between the people involved in the trade via email/PM and, if necessary, a forum administrator like magicman?

I just don't see the value in threads like these being created when a deal doesn't work out between two active members. You might have circumstances where someone has made a mistake and they end up copping a hiding on the forum which leads them to leave forever or be reluctant to trade again.

I've been trying to say that ever since the first blunder on these forums regarding trades Wayne... we don't need to look like a gang everytime a mistake like this is made- designed specifically to make people feel bad and drill their mistakes on their minds to ensure that it doesn't happen again. Learn to be patient and handle things on your own, and as Wayne said, get an admin to help you out. And in saying that, good job as usual Kyle.

You are now gonna be titled "the UN Jr" Jimmy J. ;)

I bow down to Master YODA Jackson. You sure is wise!!!!
;-)

I guess the big deal from everyone else would be in result to getting an email about -ve feedback. I know it scared me, as there was also an eBay warning & a Paypal email (both ended up being fakes), so I worried if my account had been compromised.

Oh GOD. How did this happen? YODA?

gnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Time to stir some shit and rekindle my lost reputation...

One sec...

:smt024

Oh shit... I'm too lazy :(

man! talk about a storm in a teacup!!
anyone would think that i sent a card ripped in half.the only problem i can see is i sent 2 cards in one penny sleeve!and now this has been dragged all through this thread making me look like i ripped the guy off!!
i have been in contact with prototype and we have worked it out and i now know for next time,it is just that in my 10+ years of trading this has never been a problem before as long as the 2 cards fit in nicely(obviously only 2 normal stock cards will fit).
but as we spoke about this i have said i will abide by the sites rules and remember for next time!

Guys ..seriously....I know Admiral Personally and im telling you he is no rip off and has been collecting cards and trading before long before most of you were born!..please...these guys have sorted it out between each other .So ...all you people that jumped on the bandwagon give it a rest .

There hasnt been a comment about this for a 1 week, so no need to tell people NOW about jumping on/off bandwagon's.

Personally, I couldnt see anything wrong with the trade/deal, except for the manner in which it was handled from the negatively expressed end.

All good tho.

Sounds like everything's clear, feedback has been adjusted, so I think it's best to leave this one where it is.

It's great that you came forward and backed up your mate tho, it's nice to hear that we can all get along and trust eachother, even if we dont have a 1-to-1 with every trader.

Well done guys.

Yes its a dead thread so why continue to by giving your opinion !!!
If its dead and sorted...as it oviously is then let it go !

Damn admins not doing there job and locking the thread.

I reckon it's time for us to takeover the forums Scotty! :paranoid:  :smt112 :smt066
