...and I'm not just talking about these size 19 shoes worn by Steven Adams...
...or the completion of the set of 95-96 Mystery Finest Borderless Refractors I've been working on since pulling the Ewing myself in 2016 -
...I'm talking about possibly the proudest achievement in my collecting life.
I obtained my first card from this set in November 2013. I was only going to pick up players I liked, with nice patches. I ended up grabbing more when available, and then figured I had to go for the lot.
The last one I needed was the worst one in the set. According to Worthpoint none had been sold since 2014! In my desperation I searched through really old breaks etc and got in contact with Blowout user irfuji, who said he'd have a look through his box and... voila! He had it! Of course as soon as I bought it one was listed on ebay and went for about $40 less than I paid, but that's life. This has been sitting at COMC since October and I finally had everything there brought over to me now.
So here it is...
The entire 70 card set of 2012-13 Flawless Patches (non-rookie):
In an ideal world these would all be in new one-touches, but I don't have enough...
A couple I have dupes of:
(as well as Aldridge and Hill)
So I am stoked. Long time coming!
Couple of other BIG things I haven't shown off before:
And finally, the biggest acquisition for me ever.
It's not basketball, but I did have to give up a pretty special basketball card to obtain it.
As a Kiwi, and a game worn enthusiast, there is no more desirable item than a game worn All Blacks jersey. This took me over a year to acquire, and was damn hard work. Eventually, I obtained the highlight of my collection:
(is currently away being framed)
Currently a hairyhappyfella in terms of my collection. Selling all those Jordan/Lebron autos years back has.... worked out I guess? Not financially, but I love what I own.
