Both conveniently played for Portland hmmmyou've also got to remember that Brandon Roy (Like Lillard) was looking like a superstar until he broke
So it seems that Lillard may have broken the curse (Hopefully he doesn't end up like Roy).
BUT
Guess who was #6 in the 2013 NBA Draft ----------
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9...ers-expected-for-season?ex_cid=espnapi_public
still the #6 team is cursed - who knows how he will come backExcept his injury is he reason he fell to 6. He would have been 1-2 if he was healthy!
still the #6 team is cursed - who knows how he will come back
Im not particularly one who believes in curses but I still remember the first time I read the article this thread started from. When you look at the list of #6s it has never produced a high calibre playerI guess so.... If you believe in curses!
Well how about the number 2 picks since Durant was taken as the 2nd pick in 07?
Michael Beasley 08, Hasheem Thabeet 09, Evan Turner 10, Derrick Williams 11, Kidd-Gilchrist 12.
These teams had a chance of getting Love, Westbrook, Hibbert, B.Lopez, Ibaka, P.George, Curry, Harden, Cousins, Klay Thompson, Kawhi, G.Hayward, Bledsoe, Kemba, H.Barnes, Lillard, Beal and the list goes on.
At number 6 it can be more risky and you have to be lucky to get a superstar, but picking those guys above at no.2 is a real travesty.
And dumbest draft pick ever was a number 2 pick as well! Sam Bowie at 2 over Michael Jordan at 3.
Saying a team had a chance to get a player means nothing if it is a position the team doesn't need.
Thats exactly the mistake most teams make, they should select the best talent available even if the player doesnt play the position your looking for. You can always trade a star potential talent.
The Pacers already had a star SF in Granger but still decided to take Paul George, which is probably the best example of that.
You nearly threw me off there with that typo! Had me believing that Kemp was 10 years older haha.1979.. Stacey King picked at #6... who came 17th that year??
Only the greatest #17 pick ever... Shawn Kemp.
haha, Imagine if he had of gone to the Bulls way back then... WOW.
or it could be Greg Oden like?Noel should have a good career ahead of him, just because he spent his first season injured, it shouldn't affect him too much if he's rehabbed the correct way. Let's not forget Blake griffins first and second seasons
Watch out you'll upset someone saying thatEven if he never plays a NBA minute.. He'll still have a better career than Anthony Bennett.!
