The Wade sale was purchased by a guy from Florida who spends alot of money on cards. I think the general consensus is that he overpaid by quite a bit. Obviously anyone who owns one will not agree, but that's how I see it. Some recent sales on these were Griffin-$2100, D-Rose-$2700, Magic Johnson -$2600, so you can see how paying 5k on Wade is a little much.
My only concern with this is that it's a redemption, and I think alot of collectors are frustrated by Panini's lack of commitment when it comes to filling them in a timely manner.
The backs of these Solid Golds specifically say that they are in-hand, in their vault for safe keeping, yet they have told collectors that these cards are in the process of being made, and being shipped, which is the same bull they've been telling collectors for the past 6 months.
Your best bet will be to redeem it, hope it gets made, and get more value for the card. I would be a top buyer for this card, as it would pair nicely with my 10/11 Durant Solid Gold, but I would hesitate to pay anywhere near what a finished redeemed version would fetch.
