The goal isn't far off now...

This is about a months worth of mail.....

Firstly this arrived via COURIER post from Japan unannounced..

from a great guy called Jeff - lordy knows why he didn't use airmail but was pretty amazing for him to do that - it's the 2nd freebie #21 KG he's sent me.

2ndly - another guy I don't know asked for my addy and sent me this....from Topps triple threads...

3rdly - my great friend Patrick (ljbiggestfan2) saw this on naxcom and sent it to me unannounced again!! A beautiful card - I've always loved flair cards and had seen this on naxcom about 3 or 4 mths ago but couldn't afford it. Then I forgot about it till it showed up in my hand!! I rate Stack and Sheed too so was great to get some GUJ of theirs...

Finally - just to prove I do actually buy some of these jersey numbered cards myself...

Jordan-rules wrote me about a month ago asking if i was keen on this card a friend of his had. I SURE WAS!!! He went out of his way to accomodate and help me - these cards are the thickest cards I've seen - a lot thicker than Exquisite. He packaged it beautifully and although it was a long time coming it is truly awesome in hand and has made a crap week (see my last thread...) a cracker!!!!

Both patches are awesome and I think Bosh is an awesome player and only getting better so love the dual choice.

The Dual Patch is sweet, and I like the triple GU, those Flair GUs rock!!

Thats awesome! The Mirror Images is a great looking card, sweet patches. The shot on the Rookie Debut is nice too, almost looks like a Pro-Visions/painted card. Way to go Al!

MattyJ - I had no idea I'd be close to my goal so soon! I had 27 at the start of the year and thought 50 was a realistic goal. We had a baby coming and I didn't know how much time I'd have to collect...So far in only 5 months I've gotten 18 - amazingly 7 have been gifts from people trying to help me get there!! I have a feeling I'll get past 50 ok but I'm not stopping there - this is definitely a long term thing. I might set another goal at years end but for now it's 50. I have no idea what #50 will be like - the best thing about collecting this way is u never know what the next #21 will be...

Funky - that rookie debut has a real 'turn up the colour' look about it!!!

Mate - last school holidays I started doing that - I got to about 1998-99 and there were over 100 already - then think of when the market got flooded!! So I'm guessing around 1000 - so I might have 4% of them
