2022 TLA NRL Elite Official Thread - Checklist Added

Not sure if someone has done this and I have missed it ? But is there some sort of list of what should be in a box and in a case ?
For anyone interested, I've done up some rough numbers regarding inserts and serial numbered hits, etc. See below. Priority assumes 1 x YG White and 2 x Dally M per box which seems the most likely and I've seen other echo this thought however, this is absolutely NOT confirmed. Similarly, the priority numbers are ESTIMATES only.

Hopefully everything makes sense;

Not sure if I’m right or not ,but since the rule of posting prices on cards for sale was introduced on here it seems like it’s gotten a lot quieter ?.
I understand the pros and cons but in my experience it doesn’t really change or fix anything?.
A busier site means more opportunities to buy , sell and trade which can only be a good thing surely ?.

I think it is a contributing factor but a lesser one. What I like about the mandatory price rule is that it keeps those away who are too lazy to do a bit of research and come up with a price or worse still, knowing the price but hoping they get a poor sucker to pay overs on an offer.

I have always and still view this site as the one for the more long term and serious collectors. The traffic is far less but better quality (generally). The dozens of Facebook card pages are the big reason for the downturn here.

I’m not a member on the Facebook pages so you might be on to something?

There are literally dozens !!
Yeah It’s probably something I should do but have been anti Facebook forever. Would be good for a few other hobbies I have as well.
I just arched the Ricky Stuart apology on the news but didn’t understand the relationship he had with Salmon . They said something about Ricky’s son but didn’t make sense?. Do you know the back story behind it ?
Was pretty obvious when he made the comment there was a history there ?

In short there was some sort of incident between Salmon and Rickys son who played together when they were 12.

The alleged incident was that Salmon (age 12) punched Stuarts son (the same age), Ricky and Salmons father then got into an argument and they haven't spoken since.

Then Ricky brings this up last night.

This video explains it.

As a Raiders fan I am very disappointed in what Stick said. Regardless of his personal opinion on Salmon he should have said nothing. What makes it worse is that this is a ten year feud against a kid. Canberra’s season was already hanging by a thread but they won’t come back from this. I won’t be surprised to see them lose players over it.

That aside, Penrith showed why they are so good. Key players missing and they adapt and roll on with everyone doing their job. Edwards is the toughest player in the comp. Canberra put in effort but lacked polish when it mattered.

Plenty of good pages and collectors but I also find more time wasters and non long term collectors on these pages also. I am on a few and have had plenty of good trades / sales but as I said, the more committed collectors tend to be on here, even if they don’t post much.

What do people think some of the higher end signatures like Walker YG, Grant, Ponga LS etc. will go for?

Anyone NOT interested in the NRLW Cards, PLEASE let me know when you hit Roosters NRLW players when you are busting your cases this week :)

My aim is to collect all the Roosters Women Cards, including the 3 Sergis signatures!

Does anyone have any kind of idea what the price point might be for the Women's cards?

Also wouldn't mind the Fittler's too, but I expect there to be much tougher competition for them.

I am not busting a case, a few random boxes to start with. Any WNRL Roosters cards are yours if needed, I am chasing Raiders.

The Fitler MS are /110 each, you will easily get them under $200 each

My priority is the Roosters women, depending on how much that costs me Ill chase the Freddy's. I'm a little worried about the Sergis Signatures and what they might go for.
