With this exciting event only a few days away I thought I would start a thread so we can share our thoughts and opinions.

What are you most looking forward to on a team and competition level?

Which player/s will shine?

Who will win?

I know you will say this is only because you follow the Broncos but i really think they have the strongest team along with the Warriors. Also i think Milford will shine bigtime playing only against 9 players as he has been working really hard in the off season. So for me the Broncos are the team to beat considering who they are sending over for this Competition, K

I can't disagree with that, Brisbane have named a very strong squad. I think Milf will be a force but he looks heavier these days, obviously due to the rigors of having big back rowers target you all game! While still lightning quick and great on his feet I think he was more suited to 9's in 2014/15.

Lots of teams have sent strong squads, whether that equates to winning at 9's is hard to say.

I am looking forward to seeing a few of Canberra's new signings. Blokes likes Aiono, Sorenson snd Naden who have come through the Mounties, Jordan Turner from ESL and Young guns like Cotric and Paul Roache who was apparently one of the best young #10's in NZ Rugby until Canberra signed him.

I don't expect Canberra to go close but keen to see all of these new faces!!

I would've said souths were top of the pack with Reynolds playing but unfortunately he's pulled out.

I still think we have a side that's strong enough to contend, hopefully they send someone else to replace him

For the Dragons I am looking forward to seeing the next generation in Jai Field, Levi Dodd and Patrick Herbert all with speed to burn and can beat anyone one on one.

I don't expect the Dragons to go deep as we are pooled with Warriors and Cowboys but really it doesn't matter as it is only a fun weekend and not for sheep stations.

looking at the team lists, I would say Cowboys have a very strong team, warriors are always tough at nines nut I'm hoping Eels can pull it off again this year. Looking forward to seeing how the partnership between Norman/Gutherson/Fogarty are developing, if French can top, Top Try scorer again. Also interested to see how Gideon, Jai Field, Oliver Clark (i'm biased with him & hope he can make first grade this year), Stimson and Cam Cullen and if they have the potential to make it in first grade. Also nice to see Ken Sio back in NRL

As per usual Cowboys defence looked like it could be broken at any time.

Gonna be a disappointing campaign once again if the Warriors dont get up this round over the Eels, all my money is on Eels though
