I do not understand this company's product development.
The Predictor idea is good, but why they couldn't number this to like 50 or something I don't know.
Takes the fun out of everything when you know there'll be 248 other copies of the card (another thing I don't understand about Select; card number #001???), which is way too high.
I will relish the day when Select will do at least something similar to Panini. Stupid, 1:2 pack parallel cards should be replaced with 1:Box numbered parallels or something like that. Which is why I don't collect AFL anymore; with Panini & Upper Deck, I know there'll be lots of fun in my break, and lots of good hits. In Select, the best hit in a case is normally worth $20.
@Billyhoyle kindly contacted Select on our behalf last week and they said that they would be making an announcement in the next week or so and to watch their social media feeds for further information. Is there any information on the app this year
Sorry guys I thought something would be out already. I'll see if they can give me the ok to post something.@Billyhoyle kindly contacted Select on our behalf last week and they said that they would be making an announcement in the next week or so and to watch their social media feeds for further information.
From memory John I think it was only available on iPad/iPhone/iPod platforms via the iTunes app store. I seem to remember people with android platforms asking the question on Select's Facebook page and being disappointed with the response!
John, we are waiting for an announcement that they will/won't be going ahead with it. It is generally released to coincide with the release date of the physical cards. I downloaded mine on my iPad in the last two years and it worked using either the "iPad only" or "iPhone only" search options in the app store.Apology for the ignorance, but i never played this one before. Which Apps i should be downloading for? Thanks
We have received a number of inquiries regarding the status of the AFL Select App.
We have decided not to release an App in 2016. While we were excited to bring our cards to life via the App, our number one priority is our physical card products and this is our short-term focus. We wish to ensure continued innovation and to maintain the highly collectable nature of our products. Several key changes have already been introduced for Series 1, with more to follow in Series 2 and in the years to come.
Overall the response to the App was extremely positive, with both the 2014 and 2015 versions achieving a 4½-star rating in the App Store. We are also extremely proud that the App achieved Bronze at the 2014 IAB MIXX awards in the Branded Mobile Application category.
We’ll continue to review how best we can integrate our cards into the digital space, whether that be via an App or simply a greater social media presence.
The 2014 and 2015 App will remain in operation however the fantasy element featured in the 2015 App will not operate in 2016.
Don’t forget to Like and Follow our social media feeds for lots of cool prizes and competitions this year.
Thanks for your support
