Terrible news for West Coast, with scans confirming that Nic Naitanui has done his ACL. I know that "one man doesn't make a team", but some can be too bloody influential to adequately replace. Think Roughy at Hawthorn, Gazza at Gold Coast and Nathan Fyfe at Fremantle in 2016.
Amazing to think that next week is the final home and away round of the season!
So O'meara has declared his intent to be traded. Not a free agent though so the ball is in the Suns' court. Either some team makes them an offer - which is most likely two first round picks like the Treloar deal - or he tries his luck in the draft.
Supremely talented but 44 games in 5 years, and not having played in the last 2 is a big gamble for two first round picks.
Alright...which one of you sent Matthew Richardson some footy cards to sign during the week with $20 for his troubles? Just mentioned in the post-match wrap-up on Channel 7; Richo was asking Darce and Lingy whether he should pocket the cash or send it back
According to The Age's Michael Gleeson, Giant Lachie Whitfield is being investigated for apparently deliberately hiding from drug testers with the assistance of two former GWS officials.
I know Enright is a champion but my hard luck story would be Laird, I'd swap him for Enright. Lachie Neale is pretty stiff too, but have no idea who would miss out for him to slip in.
Honestly don't see how Toby Greene fits. Got enough goal kicking midfielders and if you asked me who I would prefer in the team Greene or treloar/ Neale I know who I would choose. I would take out Greene put bontempelli or Parker to forward line and add treloar or Neale to bench. Then swap Dangerfield through the forward line. Also not sure on backline think one of Simpson and DOCHERTY are very unlucky.
It's so incredibly subjective isn't it? Although I DO watch the All Australian awards, I think the concept and format is really outdated and it never bothers me who does and doesn't make it.
I think that the team - generally speaking - is neither one thing nor the other. It's not an actual "team" as such, as I can't remember a match this season where Marcus Bontempelli (the captain of the Bulldogs!) or Dustin Martin started on the bench at all, let alone regularly. Likewise, Tom Lynch in a forward pocket seems like a "we have to fit him in SOMEWHERE" kind of selection.

I think that a few years down he line the AFL should create an All-Star game type of format to go with the Whitten game, maybe during the bye between the finals and regular season.
Have two prominent footy figures make teams, and have the location switch around every year to have it going around Australia
