2014 ESP Elite info discussion thread (Flyer P22 - Checklist P41)

I don't really see it like that, I just see it as the first of a numbered series of 130, or however many it is. Which it is.
I would agree with you if all 130 had a redemption card but from seeing the Campese one it is very clearly a raiders redemption card in addition to the sig. So to have a complete raiders collection u need that redemption and only 1 person will ever have it. This is the first time i have had anything negative to say about esp and I just think its disappointing that now due to this I basically can't ever complete my set which then takes away my desire to purchase any high end cards, as in a way if you know you can't complete your set wheres the point in paying big money trying. Hopefully I do get a chance to buy the Ennis one although i know it will be costly.

Maybe ESP could make redemptions for the other 129 that obviously don't entitle you to a jersey and can be obtained when you send your sig card to them. Highly unlikely to happen but I guess i can only hope.

I have 5 of the women in league redemptions. Does anyone know if they can be all sent in one envelope via registered post or do they have to be sent separately?
I rang ESP yesterday to register and specifically asked that question - was told it's OK to send them together, I also had five. Call or email first (details on the card) and then send registered post as many as you have.

I see your point of view, I guess I just don't put any value at all in redemption cards.

I hate to bring this up, but what about the possibility that any particular #1 Redemption card falls into the hands of a non-collector. Perhaps pulled from a newsagency pack by some random kid who leaves it lying around only to have it wind up in the rubbish bin.
This scenario goes for any numbered set. Who knows how many end up destroyed, limiting the number available to the serious collector.
We'll never know.

Apparently what happened to pretty much all of the 2005 Tradition Tupou sigs! :P

I've actually seen Case Cards under the glass counter of Roselands Newsagency and despaired that they were scratched up and faded. They'd obviously bought the case and didn't know what to do with this one card that was floating around on top.

Well, next time - give them my address and assure them that I will look after it on their behalf....

My news agency used to keep the case/box card. Then they got wind of 'prices'. I never, ever sold one, so I was affronted. And I never mislead them. I asked them if they wanted them, and they said no, and would they mind if I had it/them. They couldn't have cared less.
