watching Paul George break his leg today in the team usa white vs blue warm up game, was horrifying, poor guy and Indiana certainly wont be a contender this year...no George no Stephenson= at best in the week east a 7/8 spot or the lottery...

no Granger either!

The Timberwolves say now that they expect to trade disgruntled all-star Kevin Love and that a deal is expected Aug. 23 or Aug. 24. "I'm saying it's most likely because Kevin has made it pretty clear that that's what he wants to do," Wolves owner Glen Taylor told the Pioneer Press. St. Paul Pioneer Press

Cleveland remains the strong bet for Love to join LeBron James. But the Wolves continue to listen to offers from Chicago and Golden State, with Philadelphia expected to be part of a three-team deal. A Love trade could give the Wolves a brand new look, with multiple players coming and going. "I think when you move somebody like Kevin, who's been an all-star, that you've got to get a number of players on your team that have the potential of replacing him," Taylor said. "Flip (Saunders, Wolves president) has looked at this team and offensively, he's got a pretty good team. Defensively, it's got to be better, so I think that's where some of the areas will be replaced." St. Paul Pioneer Press

^ I'd sit the prick out, send him home from all training sessions!!

Sure, miss out on trading for assets, but they're already in a rebuilding stage with Love vacating, and would have that extra $16m next season for a run at a reasonable PF and SG/SF combo FAs.

CLE will have to jump hurdles to sign him when over the cap next season.

I know this might not be the best advice, but the Wolves no Love is leaving at the end of the season anyway. Leaving him there in the interim is only going to be bad for the team, so them laying down strict guidelines as to what players they would take for him seems a bit silly. It seems like the best option is to take the best option available as waiting would seem to hinder the team more then help it. That's just IMO tho.

The way I look at it, he's (Love) no longer interested in the Timberwolves, so either sit him out ALL season (fk him!!) and let him go for nothing, or trade him out now for at least something.

Knowing that he's ONLY interested in Cleveland (er, should be Lebron!), this holds some sort of leverage for demanding a reasonable return in assets FROM the Cavs. If they choose not to agree to Wolves demands, this means that Cleveland will have to juggle their roster trying to sign Love as a Free Agent in 2015, given that they'll be unable to exceed their cap to sign him as a FA, but if they pick him up now via trade, they can go over the cap to re-sign him.

I forgot to post it the other day, but Jalen Rose tweeted this;

Surprised Minny isn't getting more for Love than Wiggins/Bennett & a 1st round pick. Smh. #NBA

Does he know something the rest of us don't????

WOW, Clips really looking to add some muscle!!

Honestly, I'm THAT surprised that these guys are still FAs. Read a while back that Bynum's agent said he was considering NOT playing this coming season to rest his knees. If Oden's knees are back to "normal", and he can increase his minutes, that's a massive + for any bench!! Okafor's injury trouble is obviously still haunting him, but he's still a contributor!!

cant believe blatche is still available, I know he isn't the most locker room friendly team mate, but a great talent and worthy addition to any team making a run...has the skill set in so many areas...okc, cavs take note...

Good replacement for Oden at the Heat if they can afford him. Lakers need a big man!!!!!!!

im with you
Honestly feel sorry for Wiggins in this situation, as the deal looks pretty much done. The poor guy needs to put up with interviews like this...

the poor guy just want to be wanted and cant wait to have him at the twolves, it will be a great place for him to grow and.......
