2013-14 Signatures Basketball... What was panini thinking!

To be honest im finding the entire 2013-14 product run extremely underwhelming!
And 13-14 Signatures seems to be no exception.

I have only bought a handfull of 13-14 cards, and my main focus is still on nice 12-13 cards.

Im hoping some of higher-end sets released in the coming months will make up for this let down card season, but since everything so far has been copy-paste im not getting my hopes up to high.

They re-invented prizm, which I think was a good effort. Lower end collectors loved it. They've made an effort with select also. However I'm now thinking with Panini announcing 13-14 Spectra Basketball they may have copied that style too many times in a 12 month calendar. I'm hoping they find a way to incorporate some nice NFL style booklets somehow.

Side thought...I laughed my ass off at the idea that someone bought this product and their auto hit was Jason Smith...whom I just bought on ebay for $0.99....

possibly the biggest evidence in favour of never touching this product, just useless

They'll do the same as last year, offer free rookie autos by sending in barcodes/packets of their slow moving products as redemptions... that should sell another case or two.
