2012 NRL DYNASTY SELLER DISCUSSION

^^^^^^^^^^Dave^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I don't get the wholesale price remark, it goes against your earlier statement that the businesses need to make a profit. Mings prices where the same as Warrens...............I'm confused is Warren selling at wholesale prices and Ming taking a loss for us?

Cheers
Ross

Both are reputable sellers and Ming certainly did right by us as collectors and hope if he gets some stock he gives us the opportunity to buy from him.

I've not had a lot of dealings with footycards.com but given their status, feedback on here via posts and their original product output for the AFL guys I would be inclined to think they have the best interest of the hobbyist in the hearts.

Cheers

You can all catch up and meet Dave from footycards at the Penrith show this weekend.

For those that dont realise Dave/footycards makes the signature cards they give out at those shows.

As i have said earier, Dave's reputation is impecable. I have a ton of respect for a guy that took on select and the afl to release 2012 football draft prospects. Im sure if the AFL guys find this thread they will echo my thoughts.

I can guarantee if you are buying boxes from his website they are not from seached cases.

bring back case shares problem = solved.
How would that solve the problem? Have you even read what Graham posted about case shares? - http://www.ozcardtrader.com.au/comm...nning-for-series-2.124036/page-3#post-1124968

The idea is to get more sellers involved which means that the card businesses/stores are around for the future. If one member on here runs a oneoff case share it takes sales away from the real businesses. The more businesses there are the more the hobby can grow.

yeah but the thread made it sound like there was heaps of opportunities and so far warren is the only one to jump on board.

Given some of the comments made in this thread im not shocked no one else wants to step up.

i agree tak probably shouldn't of made that comment but in saying that i cant think of any reason why either. ohwell the comments were only made yesterday they have had over a week to join in. warren was well organised last week.

I have contacted Dave at Footy Cards thru his website last night and apologised for my comment. Sometimes passion drives the fingers and not the logical brain. I hope that Dave can still step in with a solution to assist OZCARD members.

Still doesn't solve the problem for those who missed out on the case share. Is it going to be a 'oh well.. Better luck next time?'.... Which is fine if it happens that way... But then at least set a one box per person share then! At least more people would be able to get them!!

Noone is going to miss out - i don't understand the panic. At the moment theres a couple of sellers who have been given the ok for presales, and upon release i'd dare say there will be other sellers who once they receive stock will be listing them for sale.

There is absolutely zero requirement for sellers to sell all boxes from a case here. And just because you get a box that isn't part of a "case share" doesn't mean that theres anything wrong with it or that the seller is doing anything dodgy. Yes you do have to be careful but if any sellers were proven to have done something wrong you can be sure they would be run out of town pretty quickly (so to speak).

I've been speaking with Dave from footycards this morning and he will hopefully be getting around to putting up a thread sometime today.

As Graham has suggested, the receiving of the actual stock is the key factor here which has stopped myself, and likely other sellers commiting just yet.

I have made an order and allowed for a case that i can put aside for sales here on OCT. However, it is no lock that i will receive my order in full. I spoke to Steve Wang this morning regarding Dynasty sales so far and can confirm that there is 0% chance that any 2nd orders will be filled, it will be a sellout. I asked what the likelihood is that my orders are going to have to be cut back and he said "Very Likely" (JHL take all orders but on release day if orders outnumber cases available they will cut back everyones orders to accomodate).

This is why i haven't been able to go ahead and commit boxes to people just yet and other sellers may be in a similar situation (although i'm likely smaller than most).

This is getting pretty old. No case shares, Fine. Now people have to move on and it would be pretty unrealistic for people to think that sellers will be excited to sell at wholesale. All the leg work = $0 then buyers will insist on paying through Paypal which = Fees.
Either find a sweet connection or get your plan b ready.
