Not sure about access to Foxsports live stats as Foxsports Fantasy is the only one that i didn't bother to enter this year.

I did read an article regarding fantasy last month where the company that runs NRL Stats was complaining about other fantasy sites using other providers and about how large some of the discrepancies were in comparing the different results. They had a dig at the NRL saying they couldn't understand why the NRL would allow these other parties to use stats that aren't official and how at the end of the competition you would have to wonder who should have actually won it. Foxsports retaliated to the article by claiming that when they compile their statistics that do not credit players with a tackle when someone flops into the tackle. This may explain why serial floppers get short changed in the tackle department in SC.

I imagine that it is fairly subjective, I've seen tries where I reckon their should be two players awarded with Try Assists instead of just one etc as long as they are consistent throughout the year and completley neutral then it doesn't matter I suppose.

yeh soward proved to be the goods as well as utai and gordon

my 3 managed to beat the 4 you had left so im pretty pleased with that.

my team for next weekend is ggoign to be disgusting im tipping 400 points or less.

Soward running the ball and scoring 80 odd along with Gidleys injury have burnt me this weekend.....oh well the seasons not won in Round 8 ( so I am trying to convince myself)

hes a good player all round ahaaha. the only fullback i rate better is boyd im not a slater fanboy, burns rough him up early when we vsed them and he didnt want the ball the rest of the game.

i went close to losign now they have updated a few players it will be interesting.

Just messing with you, he sure is a Super Coach must, with Gidley injured I'm going to have to add him into my squad.

In real terms I definitely rate him above Coote, I'm sorry but Slater , love him or hate him, is the best fullback in the world and the for me its probably Boyd, Dugan / Hayne and Gidley and probably Stewart when fit, Oh and Minichello, Bowen, Gardner....boy there are some good fullbacks around :lol:
 
i dont rate hayne well i did but i dont think he should be picked in a representative team based on form on previous years.

on topic: glad we dont have to vs anyone next week ... but still should try for a good score with the points money at end of season.
 
my team for next week is the worst consits of about 8 players lolololol.

ohwell looks like i wont be taking out the points scored award at the end of the season.

In our league the most prestigious reward, OCT bragging rights, is only gained by winning the competition......

I might scape 12 together if the rep players back up...but even then they usually play reduced time.

Im with you Ross to me overall points mean nothing... on saying that though the ultimate brag would be if someone won on points and the premiership

Brisbane is resting there test players this week and i heard the storm may do the same yet

I suppose Brisbane and Melbourne have the shortest turn around, but really if Slater / Cronk and Smith feel OK Saturday morning I'm sure Bellamy wouldn't hesitate to throw them out there...likewise with the Broncos.

None of the broncos are backing up according to their coach. i heard somehting where the media asked him he must be keen to keep their streak alive. and he replied with something about they would be getting a break.

will be interesting to see what happens anyway.
 
I'm running out of trades real fast but did manage to get 18 players in this week. I now have 17 with Fien being out. I'm going to have a good crack at winning both titles. Best of luck over the weekend :)

smith was consistent with 70+
 
I'll be happy with a 900 this week. Raiders are in real trouble this year. Worst thing is I have a heap of them in both my fantasy teams for the byes. How is everyone else going?
 
im sitting on 600 i think with 8 players or so, im pretty happy with that.

if fien and soward played i might of had a few more.

anyway im happy ill get to make my trades tomorrow.

think its time to move buhrer on, he has been good but now watmough is back and he has been pushed into the front row he isnt pulling the same numbers he used to be. i think i might have to say goodbye to idris too, hes a great player just way to inconsistant.
