I think this is the first time the away team has been up 3-2 going into the 6th in this 2-3-2 format. Plus its Miami's fault for losing it at home.
He had to give CHandler a rest though. CHandler is going to be a massive part of this series in the last two games, (hopefully one game). With Hayward out, Mahiniminimiiimini was always going to get a few more minutes.
Yes they lost at home but they won one on the road so it should be Miami's favor, but it hardly looks that way. I prefer the 2-2-1-1-1 format.
Yeah but in all seriousness they shouldn't have lost at home. They are rewarded with home court for that reason.
Umm, what?
I meant to say they are rewarded with home court on the premis they should be up 2-0 after the first two. Puts pressure on the away team and they should be able to snatch one away as like Jimbo says its almost impossible to win 3 in a row even at home. Doesn't matter what format it is if you drop one of your first two at home then you will be under pressure. Just think if Miami had won both at home they would be up 3-2, like everyone thought they would be.
The point is that Miami didn't lose a home game and Mavs didn't either, the heat still have the home court advantage, it's still up to the mavs to win a game on the road to win. But the heat now has to play with their backs to the wall. 2-2-1-1-1 format has a better home court advantage in my opinion.

Actually you are wrong!
The Mavs won on the road but the Heat also won a game on the road - Hence they still have the Home Court advantage!
Whoo Hoo Go Mavs!
Yes they did lose one at home. Just because they won the one game away does not cancel it out because if they had actually won the one at home and still won the one away it would be 3-2 their way. Don't drop games at home in the lesson here
Omg, read my post that's what I said, you actually quoted it "heat still have home court advantage"
Lesson 1: both team lost a game at home, that makes it even. Heat still advantage.
Lesson 2: yes, if they won both at home and one on the road it would be 3-2 ( you are excellent at math )
Lesson 3: I should not have continued this argument
I still dislike the 2-3-2 format

You sound drunk?? And it's way too early for that.
There have been 2 games played in Miami and three games played in Dallas. Dallas are leading this series 3-2, which means Miami still have the home court advantage. Youre saying, "Tsk Tsk Miami, you shouldn't drop games at home". Both side have dropped a game at home which evens itself out.
Am I missing something??
Which is why 2-3-2 sucks, because they didn't lose a home game.No what I am saying is as the better team, Miami, the favourite, should not drop games at home. It would be expected that the Mavs were going to drop 1 or 2 at home being the lesser team. Key to winning championships is winning your home games. If they had won both at home they would be up 3-2 and one game away from a championship. However because they lost that game at home the Mavs are up 3-2 and the pressure is on the Heat to win 2 in a row at home.
Not sure I agree with this. This could have swung very badly for the Mavs and then they would be having to play catch up just for that couple of minutes of rest. This was the game they needed to win desperately. Don't hold back Chandler's minutes when this game was so crucial and Chandler isn't injured. I agree with taking Dirk out in G4 for a few minutes because he wasn't effective and he was clearly fatigued. But G5 and a healthy Tyson Chandler? Not the time for scrubs to be filling in who have no clue on the defensive rotation.

epic fail!
2-3-2 doesn't suck that much though. I know it sounds like a mountain to climb, winning 2 in a row to win the championship as opposed to the Mavericks only having to win 1 - but it's not really like that.
The players and coaching staff, everyone involved with the Heat team will view it as one game. You play Game 6 like it's your last, because if you get through it, then it's level again.
So while it sounds like "oh Heat have to win twice as many" - really all they have to do is win this next one, and not worry about Game 7. If Game 7 comes around, the pressure will be on both teams enormously and equally. It won't be "it's harder for the Heat to win since Dallas has less of a chance of losing 2 in a row" or anything like that.
If you get to Game 7, it's all about that one game. Neither team will think about past games etc etc.
So while it sounds insurmountable for the Heat, it's definitely not as huge if you put it into perspective.
That's the beauty of the playoffs. Even when you're down, just take it 1 game at a time. If Heat win Game 6, suddenly it's not so bad, because they've got the momentum and it's really anyone's game for Game 7. So it's all about the next game, don't even think about G7.
