2011-12 NBA Season Thread - SPOILERS

At the end of the day, people vote not just based on who 'deserves' it, but who will put on a good show!! To most, the All Star is just an exhibition game and just want to see some crazy plays!!

K Love's rebounding isn't really a huge deal because the All Star Game is usually all about offense and no follow plays or pressure. It seems to be just a casual defense leading up to an explosive offense!

K Love got my first vote for this year as he deserves it and can be exciting to watch. Bynum has played well enough to go Al Star IMO, and he doesn't really have too much competition for starting C.

Lebron is a douche and should be banned from playing :p
Anthony has shown enough in previous seasons to know he will put on a good show at the ASW

And the others all speak for themselves I think.

Personally, I would love to have seen Rudy Gay in the AS Game. I have loved watching him this season. As well as Josh Smith and Monta Ellis - as players who have been in good enough form to be noticed, and would be fun to watch!!!

K Love will be on the bench!!! Each year we do through this same debate over and over!! Blake deserves to be in their, it's not an Olympic squad it's an all star game!!! The starting 5 is voted on by popularity, which gets created when they are playing well. That's why Love and hopefully Gay will be on the bench because the bench 5 is picked by coaches who will pick more on form then anything!! It has always been the same and will continue to be the same!! Yao got starting spot even without playing a game!! Also the 90s etc was a lot different for basketball back then, you saw 3 pears and back to back championships all the time! Even with Miami the league has more talent overall then it did back in the day!! Let's not forget LA compared Minnesota as a market too.

I understand that the All star game is an exhabition for the fans, but it annoys me that players who deserve it don't get in as starts.

And if Monta Ellis doesn't get it, that will be the biggest BS, he is the biggest all star snub every year!!!

Rudy Gay needs to be in, he's been playing great! Him and Igoudala would make some awesome highlight dunks!!!

But on the topic of the All-Star game, is meant to be exciting and for the fans, no one plays seriously in them, so having boring players with good stats would be against the point of the game

I'm a big fan of Monta too, but I think the main reasons he doesn't make it is cause he plays on a crappy team and #2. He doesn't play much defense.
