I'd laugh more if Arsenal had won something but I can understand arse fans having their fun!

They exhausted themselves booing Nasri, Balotelli, Clichy, it was hilarious - BOOO (GAP) BOO (GAP) BOOO BOOO (GAP)

Thought the boos were harsh on Clichy

/\/\ yeah, hes still gonna win more and sooner in manchester than he would in london...

Time will tell.

I still think Mancini is on shaky ground.

yeah, time will tell, but even an arsenal supporter must see that city are in a much better position. and they may be over-spending, but at least its with an eye on the future (unlike chelski).
you know i like arsenal, and im a fan of wenger, but even with their resergence in the 2nd half of this season, i think the team is still a long way off a title. and really, thats what they all want. talk of trophies is all well and good, but unless its the title or the champs league, the fans will still be disappointed, no?
i thought it was a little strange of mancini to start nasri. he mustve known the reception hed get, and nasri has been a bench player since he got there?! didnt even bring silva along...

City do look like they are in a better position I suppose. Although no trophies for either team this term.
If a year ago I saw where Arsenal are now, no chance of winning the league again I, and I'm sure a lot of other supporters would of been pissed off. We lost Fabregas and Nasri plus Clichy and others. Wenger brought in a handful of new players on deadline day and they took their time to settle. Worst start to a season in 31 years, topped off with our worse loss in I think about 110 years to United. We looked no chance at all of finishing top 4. Since that United game, we've played a lot better, and won more games in the league than City have. Wenger will add more players again, not too many I don't think, and Arsenal will be well placed to challenge for the title next season. I can't wait.

Silva is injured and Nasri has been starting most weeks recently....all players end up getting booed at some stage. I figured he just asked Nasri if he'd be ok and then threw him in there.

silva started the last two games before the arsenal match? he is injured, but he's said hes been injured for over 18months now. he just plays on with the minor knee thing hes got. he hasnt had the last few weeks off, so i thought it strange that mancini would rest his no.1 playmaker for, lets face it, a must win match.

i'll be suprised if arsenal make a run for the title as soon as next season. suprised, but excited tho. but i still see the buys he made on deadline day as band-aid fixes at best, and i think some of the 'talent' hes stuck with over the years is pretty over-rated.

Maybe, I know you're not a fan of Theo.
Artetas winner wasn't a bad band-aid fix ;)

/\/\ yeah, arteta is a good player (and that was a sweet goal), but hes not good enough to be the linch pin of a title winning midifield? plus hes getting on a bit. park was just a waste of a buy. even if he starts to play regular from now on (doubtful), hes only got another season before he has to go back to korea. santos is NOT a defender. benayoun? hes only on loan, plus hes old. and gervinho? poor. just poor. startng to doubt he has what it takes.
you obviously know my views on walcott, but ramsey isnt all that good either.
i do like wilshere and ox tho. quality young talent. just need more.
the D has been astounding the last few weeks aswell as szczesny and when diaby is back proper the back 6 will be pretty strong. until just one of them gets injured. then its a shambles again.
and lets not even think about if RVP moves on (please no). hes really the only striker the gunners have.

Another Dalglish Conspiracy

/\/\this dude needs to go.

You would of thought it was wrapped up now but you never know.. i'm certainly not going to start celebrating yet.

Reflecting on the QPR game, i felt sorry for Derry, no way was it a red card and was a soft penalty at the most. Great goal from Scholes and Carrick deserved a goal for his effort!

Watched the Arsenal v City game after, what a cracking goal from Arteta! As much as i dislike Mancini, you have to feel sorry for him regarding Balotelli, he has great talent but his footballing head goes astray every second game! Disgraceful stuff i thought, not just the dodgy tackles and dives and getting in the ref's face, for a role model of millions of kids, kicking the goalpost after missing a chance is not a great example to be setting. Some people think his personality is great for the game but from a United's fans perspective, he needs to go for the sake of both Manchester City and English Football.. he's embarrassing everyone at the moment.

Despite the talk i cant see Man City punting both Batotelli and Tevez this summer. What does everyone else think?

Yeah i agree. Balotelli will be forced out and Tevez will go a little easier. Expecting a big forward signing then, maybe someone along the lines of Cavani?

i got a feeling tevez might stick around. i mean why bother coming back at all? and mancini is still trying to convince himself to keep balotelli. i hope he doesnt. the guys a disgrace. and hes not that good. plenty of better players out there, even when the nutter is having a good day.
@warney: start celebrating. even if city win the derby, its too tall an order. united wont implode, which is what would have to happen. and the way city played vs arsenal, i dont think theyll even win all their remaining matches, which they would also have to pretty much do .

yeah true mate.
Little bit frustrated and wanted to gain others inputs on this topic.. there's an argument going on (on a facebook page) currently between English and Foreign United fans. It's not a new one, there pretty much saying that your not a true fan if you haven't been to a match before and i've been taken to personally by some of them. I think it's harsh considering i live in Australia, i've never travelled to Europe before, i've been a fan for my entire life, as has my dad who grew up in Manchester itself, i love the club and i would do anything to get there. On top of this i'm planning to spend thousands of dollars next year to visit England next year just to watch them play. What does everyone else think about this?

/\/\ hmm, i dont know my stance on that? i think theres too many people out there who just support manutd because of their record. people who have no ties to manchester.
going to OT isnt the sign of a fan tho. ive been and i hate them!
i guess it depends on what you would consider a 'true' fan. personally i only support clubs (in any sport) that play in areas ived lived. west ham/arsenal. schalke/RW essen. fiorentina (florence). bobcats (carolina). panthers (carolina). UNC tarheels (carolina). this stops me from going for great teams that i have no affiliation with.

I wouldn't stress too much. The majority of United fans are foreign and are 'glory hunters'. You know yourself if you're a real fan or not, and what ties you to that particular club. I would also say the majority of Arsenal and Liverpool fans are foreign as well, thats what happens when you support a 'big' club that plays in the most popular league of any sport in the world. I've copped it from a heap of British fans over the years for being a Gooner without an accent, what can you do? My Mum and her family are Londoners, a lot are Gooners, some aren't. I left the UK when I was very young, and I've always supported the Arsenal, thankfully.

This argument will never stop. As long as you know the history and love the club through thick and thin, that's good enough for me. Same could be said of any sporting club regardless of whether they're big or small.

My Gooner friend sent me this pic

Excuse my french

/\/\ yeah but you dont get many aussies supporting southampton. aussies (or any non pom really) who have never been to england tend to support the big clubs. thats nothing but glory following.
the theory is kinda bunk anyway. what about people born and breed in manchester, but cant afford the ridiculous ticket prices at old trafford?
