2011/12 Australian Summer Of Cricket (*SPOILERS*)

I believe our squad needs to be completely changed, to something like this;

1 - David Warner
2 - Ed Cowan
3 - Shaun Marsh
4 - Usman Khawaja
5 - Michael Clarke (c)
6 - Shane Watson
7 - Tim Paine
8 - Luke Butterworth
9 - James Pattinson
10 - Pat Cummins
11 - Nathan Lyon

Other considerations: Peter Siddle, Mitchell Starc, James Faulkner, Dan Christian, Matthew Wade,

i like this team dude.

SO proud of our boys. I just about watched every ball back in 85-86 when we last won there...been great tosee Channel 9 replay a fair bit of it too...
Hadlee had such a big heart....

Martin is just bowling well. How are you ment to play a ball that pitches outside leg and swings outside off? Being a left hander myself I see how Hughes can keep going out like this there is no harder ball to play being a leftie. And as i'm typing Warner moves to 98.
the other leftie opening seemed to cope all right, do we just keep making excuses for hughes??

Agreed about Clarke - and Warner (who was excellent ) gets MOM - Please..............

Bracewell gets 6-26 in 9 overs including the winning wicket - and 9-60 in the match and he doesn't get it??

That's as bad as Lockyer getting MOM in the rugby league final when we won 34-20 and Lockyer let in 2 tries!!!
bowlers getting wickets on a bowlers pitch v batsman making runs on a bowlers pitch, hardly a contest. that innings is worth 200 on any other pitch, well done warner

Disappointed is the Word!
Well Bowled Bracewell unlucky not be MOM but glad David Warner Got it after a magnificent Knock. Congrats to Pattinson for being Named MAN OF THE SERIES.
Khawaja is someone who should stay as i think he will be playing for Australia for a long time. Philip Hughes has to go now but i definitely see him coming back in the team. As For Starc he sadly needs to go as he needs to be more consistent, bowl more wicket taking bowls and hopefully he'll back in the future in the Baggy Green :) He has Potential now he needs to turn good performances. Can't wait to see him play again :)

Wow, what an amazing Test match and a fairly exciting series too.

Some of the dismissals today were fairly lame, but then again I aint Bradman when it comes to batting....come to think of it, probably aint Chris Martin either

You can say what you like about our blokes, they certainly make things entertaining and at times nerve-wracking.

7 runs is just......I don't quite know. Against the West Indies in 92-93 and South Africa 03-04 and the Poms in 2005, we were just one hit away from winning. 7 runs is decidedly weird!

Anyway, plaudits to New Zealand, Doug Bracewell proved that some days are diamonds and others are rocking horse muck!

Congrats - you're the first person I've come across who thinks he deserves it.

Do u think it's a good way to decide?? Getting the Oz public to vote? Bracewell - took Oz from 159-2 to 233 all out and won the game by getting the last wicket....

Imagine Starc screaming in and taking 6-26 in his last spell, including the last wicket to win the test! Let's say Guptill makes a dogged unbeaten hundred in a losing team...... u think Guptill would get it????
I rest my case....

A classic line from Kerry O'Keefe 'If Phil Hughes is shaving tomorrow morning, and get's a nick, Guptill will leap out of the cabinet with a bandaid to clean him up!

GOLD KERRY, GOLD!

Haha nice one. I loved how on the cricket show they where asking for tweets for a good nickname for the aussies and a kiwi responed with "Middle order collapse" wasn't you was it? :p

Nah mate - been too busy gloating on twitter... offering um what's his nickname? ...'Pup' advice on adding a bit of class to his next interview - perhaps even mentioning the opposition once.

I've been flogging that off as my own work on twitter!! Haha!!

Did u hear the one about how they printed scorecards at the start of the day at the ground - already had ct Guptill B Martin filled in for u for Hughes!

I can't believe people still don't want Siddle.

The guy bats and bowls his guts out. Sheesh!

As for the Kiwis...well done. Got away with it. Australian batting is at its lowest since WSC and 1978/79. Hussey, Hughes, Haddin and Ponting should all be celebrating Xmas at home this year.

As for bagging Pup, he's been pretty good thus far. I think losing to the world's 2nd worst Test side may have dented his pride and his ability to think straight.

And hey, there's always this:
