Seems that Barcelona are up to their tricks again... ALA Fabregas, they want Mascherano from Liverpool but don't want to pay the amount the selling club value him at. They are in so much debt, their new tactic seems to be unsettling a player they want in the hope he 'goes on strike' or has a sad at his current club (whom he signed a CONTRACT which makes the player as rich as they are...) until his current club can either let him 'rot in the reserves' or sell an unhappy player. Unfortunately (or fortunately ) Liverpool would be better off selling as they the money themselves...

On the Champions League draw, happy enough I suppose facing Braga, Shakhtar Donetsk and Partisen Belgrade quality wise, but a bit of travel involved. Shame to see Spuds involved, particularly after Defoes hand job on the swiss Young Boys (didn't hear much of public outcry over that one).

AND Arsenal Blackburn tomorrow at 7:30 WST... pretty happy, can lay off the coffee

Yeh Cesc stayin for at least this season. He has a lot more love for The Arsenal than Mash does for Liverpool, so although he wants to go, I'm sure he'll ensure the Gunners get a good deal before he does. And some credit to Mash, he was 'pools best against the Gunners the other week so he's still playing hard for his team. Poor form by Barca again though, they don't want to spend the coin to buy Mash, as with Cesc, so they unsettle the player- with the media and their own players chipping in too.

Great news for us United fans!

another good weekend. Not the best game from the Arsenal, Cesc still looked a bit out of touch, but needed the match time. Arsh into some scoring form hopefully sets him off now. Wenger has said that initially RVP's injury not too serious. Lets hope not, he's very injury prone (although end of last seasons injury was due to a kick) but is World Class, need him up front for the majority of the season. Schwarzer move back on, waiting for City to let Given go to Fulham on loan. Should happen, but needs to be quick, less than 48 hours till window shuts. Almunia been solid and had great game on weekend, but still better as a No 2 at a club like Arsenal...
AND not quite a hat trick from Theo this week... but a net buster (literally) doesn't happen to often! He really seems to be hitting some good form this season (so far), being left out of the England squad for the World Cup has done him well.
and Tiny Totts lost at home to Wigan? a great shame, but the Scum seem to be pretty happy to draw the Gunners in the League Cup - they've produced a dvd of the League Cup draw to sell to their supporters. What great viewing that would be! Don't know if their supporters would want it though now, what with the booing off they gave their team after losing to Wigan (3 days after getting through to Champs League group stage for the first time - great supporters!!)
