13/14 national treasures...to buy or not to buy...

hey all...have never bought NT before and like the look of a lot of the cards from this year...is it a worth while product and would you buy? appreciate informed comments on the subject...not happy with shit cases that yield very little...

i just busted 2x cases, seen over 100x cases busted and they are fun. however i personally would not recommend busting it. the print run is massive for each set - even the autos have gold proof to boost each set by at least 10 cards. the patch cards are 60-70% trim patches and not even proper patches (spectra was 100x better for patches and that product kinda sucked)

save your money for immaculate (a few new signers and looks like the real patches are going to end up there) and if you feel like splurging buy NT singles.

having said all that if i had to choose (and knowing your addictive history) I would buy one case of NT over 2-3 cases of all the other releases so far... you will end up with a handful of nice cards

Hey bud, would prob jump on Immaculate (sept 3rd) & Flawless ( sept 17th) when they hit. I have gone in a couple of gb over in the US & not overly impressed with NT, except for the tags/tag autos/logomen.

I think a couple of group breaks is the way to go if you want to get in on the fun. At least that's what I've done as there's no way I could drop $600 on a box of this stuff.

Agree with the others on this. The patches are small and trim patches. Some cards are overly thick for no reason.

It'll be a fun break anyway, but I'm not too impressed with what I've seen so far... I had some cash earmarked for at least a case of each of the big 3 this year but have now decided not to bust any (ended up blowing most of it on 1 card instead LOL!). I'd save the money and jump onto next years hype train; seems to me Panini has just done the bare minimum for 13/14 releases given the hobby's low expectations of the rookie year crop.
