/\/\ that would make more sense. but just to curb any further confusion: David Beckham: Mn City have 'no chance' of winning title - ESPN Soccernet
hes talking league title. probably just hasnt been in the papers for a while, so he came out with something absurd to get the spotlight back...

funny how the new boys (mancini & kenny) are the ones complaining the most about fixture congestion. always seemed strange to me that managers would have an issue with this? yeah theres a lot of games for top teams, but thats why you need very good depth to progress in multiple comepetitions? just get on with it is my point i guess. everyones in the same boat...

Beckham will turn into Campese if he keeps talking like that...

City beat the Arse with a superb goal away in the Carling Cup - Hope we get United in the draw!!!!

Always disappointing to lose, but pretty pleased with the form of our fringe players. The Ox and Koscielny played well, as did Coq and Frimpong. In the end though, City definitely made the most of their resources...

City just been drawn to face Liverpool, Crystal Palace v Cardiff

United go down in a screaming heap at home... knew we'd get Liverpool after that.... Sweet that a championship side will make the final though.....

Warney's exams have finished aye....

Fergie does the same thing every year in the League Cup by putting out almost a reserve side. We have bigger fish to fry.

fergie really only started doing that a couple of years ago. wenger is the one that usually puts out all ressies. and considering youve won 3 of the last 6 id say fergie usually goes for it...?

they looked pretty good. nasri return was recieved as it shouldve been i think. wenger says it was a bit rough, but i think they got every right to be upset at not only nasri, but wenger who now claims he knew in may he would lose him...

Yeah Nasri got what he deserved. He can go back to warming the bench now, at least until the semi against Liverpool. Heard there was a bit of a dust up between him and Frimpong in the tunnel after the game, don't think there was much in it though

Nasri might of stayed had Wenger chose not to sell him, but there was every chance he was going to leave at the end of the season. Also, he was sold before Wilshere got his injury, and that left us a bit short. Hence the scramble to sign a few players at the end of the window.

/\/\ yeah, a couple of words exchanged during the game aswell. i read that frimpong made some comments about him via twitter after he went to city?
its a shame, because i like the way nasri plays, but like you said, hes got to know by now hes a bench player...200% pay increase with 30% of the workload. good deal i guess.

Frimpong tweeted something like 'Money is the root of all evil' right after Nasri left, nothing too harsh. More amusing was him re-tweeting what Wilshere said 'all the best, learnt a lot from you' or something, and Frimpong then took the piss out of Wilshere.
But we move on...

Who's Frimpong anyway - obviously that bloke in the picture but I've never heard of him...

A plethora of United fans everywhere crapping on about Utd not caring about the Carling Cup.... usual fodder after going out of it with their 2nd rate lineup that included Rafael, Fabio, Evans, Smalling, Berbatov, Valencia and Park... having said that it is difficult to see what their 2nd lineup is these days after their run of easy home games ended in draw, draw, loss....
Good to see SAF apologised for the performance though.
Wish I could discuss this with Warney...

One of our many young fringe players. Doubt he'll make the trip to Etihad in a few weeks though, apart from Wilshere should be just about a full strength Arsenal though (at this stage)

Hope so - With the way both teams are playing it won't be 0-0!!!

pretty even groups for euro. all should be competitive. germany now paying $4.50. 3 months ago when i put my money down i got $11. cant believe theyre not favourites tho...

Um - Spain?? I presume they're favourites... U got good money for Germany though...

You seem pretty keen to discuss a second rate competition that means nothing but your pretty quite about discussing Man City's progress in a real competition - the Champions League!:whistle:

The cool thing about blocking someone is u don't see their comments but u can if u want. Generally speaking I don't bother looking but I'll discuss the CL if u want.

The results speak for themselves - we're 3rd for a reason - cos Napoli have been better than us - even if we beat Bayern, if Napoli win we're out. Personally I'm not so worried - the EPL title is what I and most City fans crave. We weren't expected to win the CL this year and we probably won't. If we go out of the CL then we'll drop to the Eurpoa league but there'll be less pressure there and more focus on the EPL which is what I want.

Care to discuss United's chances? In Warney's absence - I can only assume he had to resit his exams!! - it'd be good to discuss the current United season with someone....
