Is this wrong?

I have just heard today that my contract may not be renewed for next year

So feeling a bit down.........

And what do I feel like doing?

Buying a couple of cases of Exquisite and going for a bust! Is it that wrong to feel that way?

Ersk, with the amazing cards you have I wouldn't be too worried, if you sold your pc you wouldn't have to work for about 5 years! Good luck with getting your contract renewed!

Like the hairy one said as long as your finances can afford it, why not. It might not have been Exquisite but I got a case last year when I got made redundant. And the other good thing is that when you do pick up another job then you can buy another case to reward yourself, just like I did as well.
So Ersk go and buy those cases and let us all enjoy your misery, um I meant happiness when you pull that dual logoman

I don't think finding another job will be that difficult as long as you are not fussy.

Just pissed cos I have about 500 hours of sick leave accrued, and because I have not been able to secure another contract I will be breaking my length of service and so will probably lose my entitlements.

See I usually get a contract every 1-2 years. This year had short term contracts, and the last one was supposed to be extended but the GM has decided not to renew any contracts for now, so I am stuck, I did not apply for the regular contracts that start at the beginning of the year so do not have anything to go on to.

In all seriousness, cards are a nicety, not a necessity! Breaking a box of Exquisite and not getting a lot back after I lost my job would make someone like me 'go postal'!

Hey what sounds wrong is that you might not be able to get your leave entitlements. Mate 500 hours are you serious?? An employee who has accrued that many must be bloody reliable, how can they not renew your contract? Make sure you get your entitlements mate, if you can THEN reward yourself.
