A bit of catch up mail

Well, just catching up on some of my mail after having a great week and a bit break. So relaxing.


I guy in the US I helped out with a theme chase he was doing a while back (trying to pick up the great players for the Bulls in the 90's championship)
Sort of on the lines of what I was doing (I inspired him to do it ) what I managed to acheive not to long ago after 13 years:

He sent me a ton of Shaq and Zo cards for the PC and for nothing (very unexpected), a really nice bloke in Chris aka c32w. Including a complete set of these:

Man, what a great gesture.

Also, another bloke in Dan, sent me these for my PC for nothing I made a trade with him a while ago, and he said he still had my address and thought I could use these!

And the bbbiiiggg one I have been waiting for (was concerned, as it took ages to arrive, because the seller accidentally didn't send by express shipping for me).

In 13 plus years of collecting Shaq, I have never been able to get a Jersey numbered card of him.
Well, as you know I was going for the "Greatest people to wear a Lakers Jersey theme", I came across this one.
I was so ummmming and aarrring about this card, as it cost me an absolute fortune to get it, and I was so unsure whether to go for it or not, but in the end, I just said, oh who cares, just grab it, so I did:

I wish I had a dollar for eveyone whom said that to me, it's not what people think. Seriously.

Like I said to a few members already, I don't own any 1/1's.

This was my first jersey numbered card of Shaq in 13 plus years.

I just have a nice well rounded collection.

Yeah, a guy in the US actually pointed it out for me.

It looked great and I had never seen one before, so I picked it up.

Then I got the Wilt and then finally, a Kobe to round out the theme chase

:-D ha ha ha Mate, bid away. I won't be able to win it anymore (short of funds with stuff that has come up). I hope you get it, it's a sweet card. I wanted to add a Nash Auto patch to the PC, as the guy is a freak. But sadly, it will have to wait.

scottsophie - Yeah, very fortunate to have met blokes like this that I have met along the way in my daily collecting. It makes the hobby very enjoyable, and to know that there are great people out there that will do things to help out others collections without any thought of anything in return (because they know my trade cards suck big time).
