A bad end to an exciting mailday...

Then it was supposed to pop with this bad boy...BANG!!!!!
Those are pics from the ebay seller who didn't send it. He has auction open, I ask if he would like to settle on a price, he says yes. I ask for him to paypal invoice me, he says no I will only take paypal gift, RED FLAG!
I check his credentials out some more, somewhat satisfied, take a leap and send the payment.
The next day I say, how come you haven't ended the auction? He says, cos I have more offers coming which are better than yours can you match them? RED FLAG!
I step lightly because he has my money and maybe playing a few buyers off against each other. I send a little more.
He ends the sale, then says he has had a much bigger offer can I match it or take a refund. I GET MY MONEY BACK THANK GOODNESS.
I send him some truthful emails which he thinks is rude, I see it as a lesson learnt, I have my money back and move on.

But this one is the heartbreaker. I send an offer in on a BIN, he takes it, posts from Taiwan for free. BAM!!

Until....look at the photos I took:
That lightning strike looking diagonal crease across his jaw and right shoulder starts from the top right edge of the card. And there are 3 more diagonal lines, coming from the top right corner of the logoman window, bottom left of the adidas window and one n between the two windows.
Luckily, the seller is top-notch, he refunded immediately, the scan from his ebay listng doesn't have these lightning strikes, musta been a postage handler.

I guess in a sense I dodged 2 bullets but I'm pretty disappointed though, those 2 would have been 2 of the more wanted in his RC options. I have my money back, have learnt a valuable lesson or 3.

Not according to Gordon Gecko...... :-P That would have been a cracking start to the PC - I'd just be very relieved to have my money back. Bad luck on the creasing, I'd almost be tempted to hang onto it and ask for a part refund....because that;s one down and only 4 to go! Good luck with the PC and hope future maildays have a happier ending!
Sorry to hear about your troubles. I would be devastated if that happened too me. I'm chasing then Al-farouq aminu black gold auto and couldn't imagine being so close then having it taken away like that. Maybe you'll get lucky and the buyer might end up moving it on in the future, which is what happened to a 1/1 I passed up but ended up getting cheaper when the buyer re-sold.

All in all, I believe the end result is a good end to what could have been an horrific start to your Wes collecting; you missed out on a 1/1 and you got a Harry Potter'ed Tag but you've got your cash back and you can go buy some more Wes!
