So what your saying is you only wish to give a prize out to those who bought off you?
Unlike any of the current prizes.....you want to stipulate conditions and exclusivity!
None of the current prizes have any conditions, the people giving them up are "sellers" just like you so why do you have to be different? I don't see "Cherrycollectables" as being any different to "DGCollectables" or "Paparazzi Cards" so whilst offering a prize is very generous; offering one with conditions is not in the spirit in which this competition is run.
My 5c only - I encourage everyone to express their opinions; even if it's just to disagree with me

We give heaps away in our live breaks, donate prizes whenever we can, support this great site - so if you want me to feel guilty Richo, I don't. We want to 'further' support the people who keep us in business and its hardly lucrative business so they are VERY important to us.

I wasn't trying to make you feel guilty, I was simply pointing out you are no differnt to any of the other "Sellers" and should not be afforded any special treatment (with respect to dictating how you want your prize to be used).
I'll leave this alone as i don't want it to get heated

Well I just lost any interest in this thread and future POTM threads. I can't believe the fuss over someone wanting to donate a prize only to be used for a specific purpose! Someone who had the initiative to get the card community involved with box busting online and who has a specific live breaks link up there in the menu bar! I don't buy a heap off cherry but have been involved in box breaks and pack wars etc etc and it's fun but not heaps, so don't take it that I'm a Cherry homer but wow, smfh right now.

I'm the only one running this so I don't know where you get this idea that several of us are behind it.
I sent a message to all suppliers if they wanted to throw in a prize and what they could throw in and I received positive responses from most saying it was a great idea, I placed all offers in order of value and don't see why certain dealers should have special needs.
I don't watch or participate in live breaks but I think what cherry is doing is great but having a special prize for a cherry pulled card would sway the voting which I think is unfair to evryone else that isn't a cherry faithful.
The reason I have made this public is that cherry would not respond to my messages and this was obviously the only way to get a response, I want to make this better for the members and the more people throwing in a prize for everyone not just their own customers then the better it will be.
I'm running it for the members and a bit of fun to showcase the cards that are being pulled, I get nothing for it and I don't want anything for it but if you think you can run the show better maybe you should step up and show us how it's done, I'd love to hear your ideas because you sound like the one who knows best.

Well you weren't saying much about Richo's comments on Cherry so I just ass-u-me'd it was a joint effort as he was speaking on your behalf.
Anyway, credit to you for taking the time to run it but all you have to do is factor in another prize for a cherry pull, I don't see what's so hard and I don't think it would sway the voting because people are gonna buy from cherry, people from paparazzi, people from dgcollectibles etc etc.

I don't need people to speak on my behalf and when needed to I will do so quite fine but this is no joint taskforce that you ass-u-me'd in your mind.
Your clearly another one of those people that like to rubbish what I'm doing by saying that there is too much red tape to pass through just to get a nomination in but when it comes to passing on ideas and suggestions all I get is tumbleweeds. I first started this 2 or 3 years ago and I have always been open to new ideas and thoughts and I have also asked if people if they do not like what they see then feel free to let me know because I will not be offended and I have incredibly thick skin but when people like yourself continually get on here and make sarcastic comments about the criteria my imaginary taskforce has put together it doesn't help at all, at least step up and say what you would like to see so I can make it better.
It looks like you will get your wish anyway, the comp has taken a nose dive and people clearly aren't happy due to the lack of nominations compared to box breaks but people will not pass on there thoughts or comments to make changes so it will be finishing up as we speak or I would be more then happy to pass over the reigns to someone that thinks they have a better system/taskforce to run the show.

There has been plenty of crads worthy of a nomination this month so I'm not sure what box breaks you've been looking at and I'm after a prize for the members and cherry's offer was not for the members it was for his customers only so I'm not sure why this is hard to understand. This comp was for the members and the prizes are there for anyone regardless of where they shop, you say it's weird how I've set up the prizes, how about explaining why and offering suggestions.
I'm just sick of people like yourself that are quick to drag this comp through the mud and there have been a few over the years but when asked to give their thoughts and suggestions about the comp they have zero input.

Not everyone wants to nominate cards I don't know why you're taking it so personal?
My suggestion is add Cherry's prize! It's fine otherwise and if people aren't gonna nominate then unlucky to them!
If commenting on the way you deal with people wanting to submit prizes is dragging it through the mud then so be it! That's all I have on this subject for now!

Perhaps you should be creating separate threads for each months nominations!? Maybe people aren't really noticing the sticky that well and just mistake as an ongoing thread. Additionally, stickies are misleading..... because they are constantly in the same spot all the time I personally sometimes miss them, because they only stay bolded the first time you view them if there is something new; if you happen to be clicking around on other threads and/or leave the site for awhile the thread will no longer be bolded and you may miss it..... if it wasn't a sticky I think it may be easier to notice as it's mixed amongst the normal thread flow and even if it isn't bolded you will notice if there is something new in it by it being bumped to the top.
Just my 2c on perhaps why nominations have been slow.
