Plane hits Manhattan tower - four die
Thursday Oct 12 07:16 AEST

AP - Four people died when a small plane crashed into a 50-storey condominium tower on Manhattan's Upper East Side, reportedly including a Yankees baseball pitcher.

Flaming debris rained onto the street below, rattling New Yorkers' nerves five years after the September 11 terrorist attack.

The New York City medical examiner's office confirmed that four people died in the crash.

CNN said the owner and pilot of the plane was Yankees baseball pitcher Cory Lidle who is believed to have died.

A spokesman for the Yankees declined to confirm thereports. A second representative for the famed baseball team said they were investigating the reports.

The FAA confirmed the plane was owned by Lidle, 34.

I checked Ebay when I first heard of this story. There was about 8 items on there, all with minimal bids. Now there is 4 pages of stuff on there, and the 8 items that were at about $10 are now over $200 with one at $255.

How about the lowlifes who go and register domain names related to the player moments after his death in the hope that they can sell them for a huge profit?
