missed part of my statement out lol...
what i was trying to say was...he had the potential to be one of the greatest players to play the game...

you're exactly right tho maybe if he backed up a couple of seasons without being on the bottle he could have done some big things in the game
 
you have to see the bigger picture i know im only connecting the dots here / accepting the rumours im told.

but carney was Brian Smiths golden child at the start of the year coming off a dally m and grand final runner up.

smith is accused of sneaking around with a player's mother

carney seems to lose all the respect for his coach, well at least enough to get out on the drink.

now thats only what i have been told, but it makes sense and i believe there is some truth behind it.

Best of luck to him, hes a great player and been a great bloke both times i've met him.
 
Sadly...many of the 'greatest' players to have played the games, were and still are massive pi$$ heads...who stumble from TAB to TAB, and pub to pub, fluttering punting tickets around their feet. Some are HUGE LEGENDS of the game and they're sozzled from morning to night. Everyone gets surprised they have nothing to show for their careers other than light-hearted banter and the occasional airing on a Fox program of their wonderful deeds. And I'm talking players who retired in past 10 years too. Quite pathetic and sad. So kids...lay off the booze.
 
Gallop: Carney to be handed severe punishment

Heard that Gallop and company are going to hand down a major reprimand to Todd Carney in the form of punishment. It will be announced that he has to play for the sharks for at least 2 years.. :)
 
Wendell sailor mentioned on Twittter that Adam Cuthbertson is headed to Newcastle.

He's been in good form lately, I'd be happy to have him.
 
Poor jounalism, this guy no longer has anything to do with the NRL, so its time reporters reported on real problems.
