Exactly Liam, the guy has his way in Sheild, but when it comes to batting on ANY sort of pitch that isn't flat and green he can't do sh!t!!!! He has a lot of work on his technique to do before he should be considered a walk up start in the Test side if you ask me, they need to use the youth policy or wtf ever on more then one player!!!!!!
 
If Haddin doesn't get some runs under his belt I can see Paine taking his spot soon. I forsee him as the future Aussie skipper.
 
Nah he's not, Marsh was gifted his spot, you can't argue with that. Hughes has made more first class runs and is more deserving of a test spot. Anyway I remember Hughes making a few tons early. Let's judge Marsh after he has a few more under his belt.

haha i know of several others.. including Mr Walshy :)

How is Hughes deserving of a test spot? He doesn't have a proper technique?
 
Firstly, if you are going to go on Shield averages, (which i find amusing), can i just say something that a proper and realistic Australian cricket fan SHOULD know.

Hughes plays for NSW. Marsh plays for WA.

Hughes lines up in a team full of stars to support his batting whereas Marsh lines up in a team that can barely make 250 with no support whatsoever.

Hughes is always going to score more runs, because his side has stars that are making 400-650 each shield innings. Marsh ha nobody to partner him.

In summary, WA are pathetic, their batting is weak. If Marsh went to someone like the Vics he would be scoring hundreds week in week out. He has a technique unlike Hughes.

Are we going to continue with Shield averages? In my eyes shield doesn't count, it's how you perform at International level, and in the last few years, Hughes has failed to perform.
