Before i rant on let me say this isnt aimed at all women
Im sure there are many that take care and love there cars.
My wife was up for another car a few years ago.
I couldnt see the point of buying second hand junk so after a lengthy lecture about looking after it she got a spanking brand new suzuki grand vitara.
While im happy to keep it clean and maintained its peevs me that she now smokes in the damn thing and leaves crap everywhere.

She reversed up in a carpark last week and scratched the rear bumper..beyond buffing..its a respray job.
And now 1 week later shes ran up the ass of another car and trashed the front nudge car +scratches to paint work.!!!GRRRRRRRR

Now i have my ve ss ute and the motorbike.
I could see where this was heading and said no way on this earth are you taking the ute.:swear:
While i should take the...its only a car and let here use it way
I just know shes not going to look after it...hit kerbs...park next to rotten old cars and the smoking !!!

I tried to remain calm and say i realize accidents happen but you need to take more care
Ouch..got my head bitten off !!:(

Anyway...got to find a smash repair yard north of the river that has loan cars !!

Rant over...lolol

I feel your pain mate, women and cars = hell no
You promise not to wear her knickers and use her handbag and she can stay away from the ute.

I am hearing you, thank god my wife is just the opposite, my wife only got her licence 36 months ago and I bought her a brand new Jazz vibe (should have seen the salesman's face when we walked in with cash to buy the new car, priceless). Anyway, she keeps it clean, fueled, sets up the compressor at home to check her tyre pressures and lets me know when she is a few thousand out from a service so I can book the mechanic. A couple of her friends smoke but no one is allowed to smoke in the car (same for the house)..................lol

Ouch mate, thats not good! My wife isn't SO bad but still tends to not care as much as I do... I have a Black VE SS wagon that she drives more then I do, and with the kids the car tends to get filthy on the inside pretty quickly, so I do the polite reminder of just getting the kids to take some crap out every other day and I get told off over it... i ask her to be careful where she parks and to be mindful of the sh!tboxes she parks next to and get told to get over it... yet when I clean the car weekly, polish it monthly she's quick to point out the marks on the doors from others opening doors on it etc etc... My response, Wouldn't be so freaking bad if she'd listened to what i tell her instead of being a cow about it!!! ** touches wood ** she hasn't guttered any of my new E2 GTS rims yet but the previous 2 sets she has smacked around a fair bit... Might have helped that I told her if she scratches these ones she'll be walking and using the bus!!

Bahahaha...classic fellas...:) that's just the way it is unfortunately! hsv006, the scratches don't sound too serious, why not save yourself some money and get someone to just retouch it up? Give Michael at Colortech a call 0404263000. Home | Color Tech Systems I've had him touch up two different cars and his work is great, I couldn't tell that it had been touched up as he will put a clear coat on the whole panel after touching up so that it doesn't look like it's been touched up in one spot.

If only the bumpers are scratched, just leave them the way they are, that way, she will be reminded of her mistakes and try to not repeat them... if you fix it up every time she will be spoiled and assume someone else will always clean up after her mess.

Just tell her she ain't getting another one and if she keeps stuffing it the repairs are coming out of her pocket (or in return for sexual favours)
My ex managed to put my old VK calais into a wall in a car park. 5k/hr limit!

Had a P plater chick wipe the side of this one out on me a few months back too, women and cars don't mix.

after it she got a spanking

I got that far and nearly had a heart attack and was unsure where this thread was going. I think they say "brand spanking new" to avoid such confusion ;)

If that ever actually worked there would be a lot more broken things around this house :(

not the mention the car thats at the smash repair as we speak

I'll be honest, I've had 4 accidents, wife's had none that were her fault.

Was reading the other week though the top 10 unpaid traffic fines in SA thing in newspaper, 8 were women, I was genuinely surprised.

LMAO - Poor old Di :)

Wish I could say my wife is worse than me Steve (as she did ding my front bumper 1 week after I had it resprayed) but of late I clipped my wing mirror on the garage wall, cracked my rear tail-light when I reversed into another car (No damage to the other car) and then scratched the bottom of the front scoope when parking!

So it's me who is the goose with the car the last couple of years :(

Agree with you on the smoking though......that is a BIG no in all our cars and I would be annoyed if I was in your shoes too.

As for the Smash Repairs.......I did get a loan car from the one I used in Ellenbrook but I can't remember the name :(
