I'm very happy. Arteta is a great signing, a great passer of the ball. Happy with our new LB, happy with Per. Yossi will add depth, time will tell on Young. Oxlade-Chamberlain will be a great player...

arteta is a good signing, but hes 30. hardly a player for the future. and is benayoun only on loan?
dont get me wrong, theyre not bad signings, but really, not what id consider good enough to battle it out with manchester/chelsea and even liverpool squads. its not just about the players he picked up, but more so the players that have left. these are not suitable replacements...im worried now. prove me wrong arsene. please.

it's a start for Arsenal.. Everton are really going to struggle this year i feel. Cahill is now the main man i'd say

Not much money around at Everton, Moyes has done well to keep them relatively high up the table. Be a testing season this one for them

really sad that meireles has left Liverpool..... was one of my favourites. Undecided on the Bellamy pickup. As long as he can keep his head straight he should be ok, but I suppose we needed another backup striker considering Ngog is gone. Coates is also a very solid pickup. We have recruited and added depth really well this season :D

/\/\ didnt bellamy hit riise with a golf club last time he played for the scousers?
and agreed. liverpool have made very good buys for this season.

will joey barton EVER shut-up?! hes got a point, but he needs to learn to keep things in-house. hes just a disruption this way...
even after its all over we still get stories about sneijder. he 'felt' a deal was close because inter were going to sell a player? theres still no evidence united ever even put a bid in...

Saw the funniest article last night.. it was an Irish paper (i think) that interviewed John O'Shea and he said that "United have clearly gone downhill since i've left." Kidding aren't you John? 3-2 against City, 3-0 to Spurs and 8-2 over Arsenal.. where's the downhill in that?

May i add, Wayne Rooney moves to 9th on the Top All-Time scorers list at United behind Sir Bobby Charlton (249), Denis Law (237), Jack Rowley (211), George Best (179), Dennis Viollet (179), Joe Spence (168), Mark Hughes (163), Ryan Giggs (159).

/\/\ he must be joking. i can only imagine how well he thinks sunderland will do now...?
i predict rooney will finish 3rd on the all time united list.

Just an update on Team Squads

The Premier League have released the 25-man - or mostly fewer - squads from all 20 teams.

Each club must have a squad containing no more than 17 players who do not fulfil the home-grown player criteria with the remainder - up to a total of 25 - must be home-grown.

A home-grown player means one who, irrespective of his nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to the Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21).

Players under the age of 21 (for the 2011/12 campaign those born on or after January 1, 1990) are eligible over and above the limit of 25 players, which explains why the likes of Mario Balotelli are not listed at Manchester City even though he is a part of the first-team.

Everton named just 18 players - seven short of the maximum - in their official squad and - despite much speculation - Wayne Bridge, the out-of-favour left-back, was selected in Manchester City's squad of 24.
