So the result may be that no team gets the 2 points due to the all in brawl as reserves entered the field of play to participate in the brawl.
I think the refs got it wrong they should have sent off a couple of more namely Brett Stewart and a couple of his team mates for running 30 meters and throwing punches, if they ran that distance to pull them apart fair enough, but B.Stewart went in to deck Blair...

How Brett Stewart stayed on the field is beyond me, he ran 30 metres to throw a flying king hit punch at Blair. A 1 on 1 fight turned into a 5 on 1.

I like the violence, dont be too harsh on them. Wasnt like the Roosters Vs Sharks, where all the Roosters Poly forwards were looking to take cheap shots all game.

haha dont be silly, they were just good, solid, fair rugby league hits. Except for hargreaves, that was bad.

it was a good hard game of footy, all the liberal do gooders can bugger off as a bit of biffo is part of the game. Stewarts excuse to the referee was that he was sticking up for his brother..........some of these guys just need to learn how to land a couple of punches.............lol

He was sticking up for his brother so its alright to run 30 metres to land a flying king hit. Cool.

Yeah the boys could have powered a small town in holland with the amount of wind being generated by those air swings. Windmills everywhere. Was entertaining though.

Im all for a bit of biffo 1 on 1 is great even an all in brawl is great every so often, but the ref should have been stronger and marched B.Stewart at a minimum, the excuse of sticking up for my brother is irrelevant....
Two of the best brawls have been Manly v Newtown (Bowden on Broadhurst) and Saints v Souths pretty sure it was a semi final about 1983/84 , Fenech & one other Souths player where laying into poor Slippery Morris, also been a few more in the 70's as well ahh they were thee days....

i am going to tell my dad that the next time he needs to make some hay bales he should hire these guys because the amount of hay cutters they threw was amazing, they would have the back paddock done in an hour

King hitting someone is a real dog act, keep the biff but leave the low acts out

Have manly won thir last game of the season?
B Stewart should get 4 weeks for that stupidity. Enjoy seeing a bit of biff, Bit really how manly got the penalty to start with was an absolute joke, There was no intent whatsoever in the elbow from Hinchcliffe.

And A blairs uppercut should be shown to Anthony the Mouth mundane, Cause thats how you throw em....

I'm interested in what the follow up to this brawl will be.

One question i have, if the ref sets a precedent by sending Blair and Stewart to the bin for 10 because they were 3rd men in and threw punches.....why is it that when Blair and Stewart started a new fight on the way back to the tunnel only 1 minute later, 4 Manly players ran 30m to get to the fight and started throwing punches at Blair. It was 5 vs 1 and at least 3 Manly players were punching until the other Melbourne players arrived to seperate it. I'm confused about the consistency there? Only thing i can think of is that the refs were packing their pants that the crowd at Brookvale would spill over the fence livid if more Eagles players were marched.

It will be interesting to see what happens now, I mean the bench players entering the field of play for both teams on that sideline dustup should see some action at the judiciary. How about no points for the game and each team stripped of comp points...........Broncos for minor premiers....................lol

Brett Stewart's act was extremely dangerous on Blair. All things being equal, he should get the most serious suspension. Rest of the season?

Brett six games, Glenn four games, Blair two games ... I think that would be fair. Not sure what the other players did without watching replays very carefully. Maybe one week each for the other Manly players who ran in on Blair, one week for Waqa who apparently joined in to break up the fight off the bench.

Imagine if this happened in a junior game, both sides would be banned for the rest of the season.

Poor Waqa was in a lose-lose situation. Sitting there on the sideline watching a 5 Vs 1, Blair on the ground covering his head. He stepped on and just tried to pull Sea Eagles players off but he'll likely get suspended because players coming off the bench in any sport is a massive no-no....i'm sure he'd get a pat on the back from his coach and teammates though.

It was disgusting. I don't mind a 1 on 1 brawl but 5 on 1 on the sideline was sickening. It was real Underbelly, Kings X gutter brawling at its worst.

On the sideline, woman and children watching thugs punch on.

Glenn Stewart should get 8 weeks for bringing the game in to disrepute; Adam Blair 4.

Brett Stewart - who has form bringing the game in to disrepute - should also get 6-8 for his act and the flying punch the grubby little sod. The other 3 who ran in should all get 1-3 weeks.

Manly should be hammered. The NRL should say no team - no matter 1st, 2nd or 16th on table will be allowed to get away with rubbish like that.

And with all the smart mouthing from those 'smart' Manly RL players about Gallop and Brett Stewart's suspension, etc...well, I wouldn't be surprised to see Gallop lead a mighty big charge to have the mongrels dusted for weeks. Plus it will show his toughness for the new RL Ind Commish who are going to go gangbusters to appeal to women and children back to the game. Rubbish like this is not going to help.

At the end of the day - sure, I like a stoush, some good clean punches and on with the game. That on the sideline was animalistic thuggery.

that was awesome!!! Reg Reagan would be proud!!!! ( wish he was on the footy show still!!!)
i thought the refs did alright. top of the table clash and left it at 12 on 12 and let the idiots on the match review committee deal with it.
