I think it'll still retain some value being the first, but history has shown that whenever newer products come out, it diminishes the value of the first offering. UD 97-98 Game Jerseys, 96-97 Autographics, 93-94 Topps Refractors, EX-2000 Credentials...all were selling much higher when they first appeared on the scene, then took a slump after subsequent products came out.
