I would just let it go and since he's getting more money, I would be happier for him. This is our community which we are proud to be part of. If any of us change their minds in a deal that has been agreed on then I'll let it go. That's just me...

Not being picky gemini0928, but i am not getting more money for this card, the only "better deal" i got was someone was willing to pay for it straight away.

Guys thanks for the messages, as you can guess i am new to the site and i know i F$*d up, but i feel my actions after the incident as to what i willing to do for the other party outway the mistake i made.

Look sometimes here unfair things have happen to me to like you send 50 PM's back and forward to another person Hold the cards they want, constantly lower your price and make a better deal for them (coz im not in it for money just making people happy) then after its all said and done and you finally agree on a price they say can you give me 3 or 4 days to get the cash together.

I dont know if its just me but like for a deal thats say $30 i wont waste the sellers time by telling him to hold it if i dont have the cash.

Like i said before, i can fully understand this in high end deals but not for $30.

I have never been out to cheat anyone on here, the first 10 FB i have are all good and i would say 90% of the people that i have dealt with, would have either got extra cards, a better deal or really quick postage
I try to make my deals better for others, as i have alot of cards i dont wont, but if someone else wants them then i just put them in with what ever i am selling.

Sorry to take up your time reading this, just wanted to vent a little.

Well after reading both sides, in this case a NEG would be way to harsh! If Matty hadnt offered to fix it then yeh, but only on the basis of what would happen to the site if everyone just changed their minds all the time! In this case error has been admitted and a solution sought which only deserves credit in my opinion! Hope you guys sort it out, but really Mattys offered a perfect compromise!

I was happy to take your PM response initially, even though when I read that message I felt that is what you should have been telling the other bloke. I should have the card being sent to me and the other person should be the one waiting. But now you come on here and claim I am a liar and question my integrity over $12.50 GTFO?! Further more to this you did not pay straight away as you said, i think it was a day later and i did not get a "better or higher" price on the card sold for the exact same amount.

Yes i made a mistake, no you had not agreed to the sale thread when i sold the card.
One problem i am finding with this forum is people say yep ill take that card and then you dont hear from them in days, or you see them selling other cards to fund the purchase from you (that could take days to settle)

I can fully understand this practice, for high end cards because you are dealing with alot of $$$ but not for cards that are worth ten dollars.
I feel like i now need to put in each sale thread "payment to be made within 48 hours"
I believe it to be really unfair to other people that are willing to pay on the spot for a card, but because they were not the first person to see the thread they miss out because another person has put it on hold.

Further more, because of the stuff up i have made i have gone and purchased the exact same card from Ebay for double the amount (not that i mind) and have offered it to the other party involved free of charge
after i have also given a full refund.

I fogot that you wanted the Kobe jersey (gold standard) and got an offer from another forum member.
Really really sorry mate, just a massive stuff up on my side.

What im willing to do is well 2 options.
I have already refunded you the paypal cash.

Option 1. i have just purchased 3 (only really wanted 1) of the same cards (Kobe gold jersey) of ebay.
If your willing to wait a bit i can send 1 to you free of charge to apologise for my stuff up.

Option 2. i have about 500 GU and Autos from 2007-2011, im willing to send you some free of charge. I will make
sure the cards are at least double the value of what you paid for the Kobe.

Again mate im really sorry about this i think i just had to many PM's and thread post-gotta learn how to better handle this.

He made contact yesterday afternoon after this thread had heaps of replies and I had contacted admin, I was going to leave it and then I come on and see this FFS

If you are implying that this is me and i only made contact after this thread was open then that is a complete load of BS. i sent a PM as soon as i worked out what i had done wrong and can prove it if you want me to. The reason i replied to this thread was everyone has the right to a response and if you were to choose to give me a NEG because of what others say, then i felt it would be necessary for them to hear the other side of the story.

I know what i did was wrong and you can give me a NEG if you want, but i thought the way i handled it after i stuffed up was above and beyond what most others would do.

No need to create a thread like this after the crap that OCT has seen over the last few months. This could so easily have been sorted in pm. Or you could have easily contacted a admin to ask advice on the situation, I know I've done that before. There was obviously no malice in this so "asking for everyones opinion" on this is wrong and in my opinion we didn't need to see it. Not having a go at you mate just my 2 cents.

okay, i have to respond to my earlier post now that i know the full story..

IMO, for deals under say $50 i feel that ppl should be able to pay straight away, and if this is not possible they should give a definate time for payment.
trade threads should agreed to once the deal has been drawn up and is only valid for 12 hrs for the person to respond to.
hey you know your making a deal, so just respond to the deal thread, that way both parties know the situation.


i dont think a NEG is warrented at all. matt has been a champ and and went above and beyond what i'd say 95% of the rest of the OCT community would have done.
im not saying that nothing was done, and im not getting into he said/she said BS..

Ok this is not as bad as it seems now, man i have some good news for Howzat.
Lol it turns out i didnt even post the kobe jsy out, other party asked for it and i said yes but didn't add it to his pile of cards before i sent them out.
Found it in a stack of gold standard on my computer desk.

So howzat if you are out there mate i still have the card but just need your details to post it out and will sort out the other buyer by giving him a partial refund as he bought alot of cards.
Plus then send him the one from ebay free of charge.

Monumental stuff up and i apologize to all involved, lesson learnt and i hope no one will hold a grudge against me.

Mate I can also prove that the PM was sent to me at 5:37pm with the thread details, once I saw the thread was done I paid for the cards via paypal by 5:45pm, I replied to thread saying this about an hour later, so I did pay instantly mate, I always have and always will, but this is all just semantics. I started this thread as a general thread without mentioning any names because I didnt want to turn this into a slinging match. It is all really nothing in the grand scheme of life, I will send you my addy in the morning and resend the payment to you, no harm no foul. I don't hold a grudge at all, seems we have worked things out ok, but isn't it always great to see how quickly people jump onto any thread that is a "negative" one

No worries Kaeliff, but if you see earlier on I didn't make this an attack thread, it was a general thread with no details of the other party mentioned at all! I did contact admin and was told that I was well within my rights to leave negative feedback due to breach of site rules, but its since been sorted and I guess it shows publicly for all to see now that things can be sorted out when the site rules are followed properly
