I recieved this email recently, I have no problem with the person it is about as I've never delt with them and found it to be a bit strange from Stephen. I'll show you guys what was sent to obviously all of his customers.

Dear thepurplegothicchicken,

Dear value customers,

Thank you for your business in the past year. As I'm going overseas for my
holiday, some people are getting me confused with another eBay seller, whom
has just been suspended by eBay. I'm sure some of you know who this seller
is, but not all of you know the truth why he got suspended.

As we all know when this seller sells his item on eBay with buyer's identity
kept private, no one can see who they are bidding against. Used to his advantage,
this seller have been using his other id to bid up the prices of his items
to provent selling it at a lost.

To make matters worse, he has offered my buyers to buy outside eBay. To make
himself look good, he has told many people that he got suspended by eBay
becasue of unpaid fees due to expired credit card. He has made himself look
like a saint for the Hobby, while cheating his buyers because he can't substain
his lost.

Normally, I don't care what other sellers do or say, but this person has
made it personal with the words that he used at his auctions. I hope all
of you can see the truth behind all his lies, and don't get me mixed up with
people like him.

Thank you very much once again for your business, and enjoy the Hobby!

I really hate it when you want to bid on an item and you the seller has USER ID PRIVATE, it makes you think they have something to hide and puts you off bidding. Then you win another auction and you receive the product and you look at it and the seal just does not look right, the card companies need to come up with a more tamper proof packaging to help protect the customer. And then you have the sellers who stop thier auctions early as there are not many bids, most bidding on items gets done in the last 5 minutes of an auction. Is there any reliable box sellers here in Australia. Or is the customers choice to go overseas to get it.

AJ IS SNORING:rolleyes:

I got that email also shihad, and i got one from westriot previously, these 2 really need to grow up and stop acting like kids...No offence to either of you coz i know they are both members here, but seriously come on guys, you are adults...

What I'm concerned about is that I've dealt with both these guys recently and I didn't get any emails. Whats up with that? Am I out of the loop guys?! ;)

to be honest matty i am sick of both of them too:mad:
i don't understand how one of them claims to provide the cheapest prices and everytime i put a box up at a cheaper price on buy it now they both chop there prices too to $1 under what i have put - STUPID CHILDISH GAMES

all i here from my regulars is that 8088edge sells searched boxes and they are always tampered with,,, and westriot cheats his customers by shill bidding.

i have about 20 regulars that buy from me and some of them are from this sight, all of them prefer to buy at "buy it now" prices instead of searching ebay for bargains on auctions. i have only ever had one complaint and that was when i was moving house and my postage was slow. you know who you are and i am still sorry:p

i think everyone needs to fix there game on ebay, i just had a seller asking me to send him a free box as his boxes shrink wrap had a tear in it, after delving into the situation i found that he still opened the entire box and obviously didn't like what he got so he made a complaint.

i am no saint myself but when it comes to selling i have never shill bidded or sold shonky boxes, the only things i have done wrong was as a buyer and that was to receive money back that was rightfully mine that the seller would not refund.

all i can say is thank god i have my buyers that i don't have to dick around with, they just tell me what they want and i provide, very simple:)

THE END

Excellent post justin, totally agree with you i've also brought boxes from both of them untill i started buying boxes of you..hehehe...really dont why they say there the cheapest on ebay clearly you have the best deals....

Personally I don't really care, I just bid what I can afford, and if I win I win. I don't really do BIN that often unless I get so bored I just have to have a box of something. Maybe everyone thinks that Stephen sells all the searched boxes because I get heaps of 1 per case stuff  I haven't been through westriot though so I wouldn't have a clue.

Hi All,
I haven't received this email at all naturally. But i mean if i was shill bidding, do you think i would have been caught earlier? I mean i have been selling boxes since early 2006 and now its September 2006. I put my auctions private so other sellers don't annoy my bidders. Thats the only reason. Im not that smart to have two credit cards in two different names.
And with prices, i mean whats the deal with not listing it at the cheapest price possible? So i guess what you are saying is that we can only list at prices that noone would buy at?
I mean all this is a mute point until i get my credit card in order. But you know, you don't have to believe me, believe what you want. For every person who wants to slander me, there will be 10 to back me up. You don't get 99.9% feedback from over 700 transactions in 3 years on sheer luck.

actually i still prefer public listing, and i'm not really like to see a private listing which i cannot see who is bidding on the item. and it will make people misunderstand you are shilling the bid too.

and i will have less confidence when bidding a private listing or a seller with private feedback.

everyone, that's just my personal opinion,no offend and please dont mind.

thank you.

Well when i do get back on ebay, i will dispense with the private listing because i didn't think people would mind, but im here to listen to advice.

i do agree with zodiac on that one, i avoided most of your auctions due to the fact the bidder's identity was hidden, but on our recent transaction i found you very easy and friendly to deal with and would have no problems deealing with you again in the future. I also have no problem with 8088edge, i just think the emails you 2 sent were both very childish and made you both look a little silly :p

Yeh no problems. The people have spoken! Hehe.
Oh well, i just have to overcome this adversity and become better after it. And besides, i have all these boxes of cards sitting at home. I think they are better off in your hands being busted :)

SPREE FAN u forgot to mention that Dan Dickau Auto complaint i filed earlier in the year....... ;)

haha, you never know when dan dickau will take off though;)
will it be this year??? who knows, maybe it will go from a value of -$5 to a value of $0.99c..................you never know

Hmm I could get a spanking for saying this, but I'm being honest.

I would NEVER buy from an Ebayer that had their Rating set to private. I like to read why people get negtives, in case it's something of interest in my consideration of purchase from the person.

Hiding your feedback, IMHO, is just proof you have something to hide about your dealings with people. If you have 100% feedback. Why hide it? I'm proud of mine!

So, hence why I will never, EVER buy from you Westriot. Sorry, but I'm just being honest. Pity some people can't be with their feedback.

I can understand (kind of), hiding the Bidder ID, but then again, it opens up the whole shill bidding issue.

So in other words, I'm against ANY information being hidden thats is needed by potential buyers.

I don't hide my feedback. You can actually see the feedback that people have left me. All 3 years worth of feedback. So i don't have a problem with you not buying from me, its your decision. It is a free world.
Ahh, i don't shill bid! Check with ebay, or anyone that has dealt with me before. You can check who has won my items and you will find they are all genuine buyers. And offering the general public items at less than retail prices is a crime?

i am with you on that gothchick,i would never buy from someone that hides there feedback or who is bidding on there items.
BUT in the same sense you never really know if some one is getting there mate to bid on one of there auctions anyway.
if you don't know the person who is selling how will you ever know if they are dishonest/shill bidding/selling searched boxes etc etc

i can see 2 sides to the story as a buyer and a seller , unless you are just selling "buy it now" stock then you will always have buyers that don't/will not trust you to bid on your auctions

All i know is that profits from NBA Basketball Boxes have been rapidly falling since i started selling in early 2006. I thought id get more support for trying to make the market more competitive but i guess its not the case. Im just getting slandered and the like for trying to tackle the market by the balls.

it is not the whole "hiding" your feedback that worries people i think it is more the fact that buyers cannot see who there competition is, and who they are actually bidding against.

i actually have more people that buy off me outside of ebay now, due to built up trust. ebay is more of an advertisement for some of the stock i have and i guess this would go in the "why does feedback matter basket" as nobody gets feedback when we deal outside of ebay it is just a trust issue unless you are buying off me through oztraders which is becoming more frequent as buyers get the boxes cheaper as i don't have to pay ebay fees or oztraders fee's;) (don't get any idea's mods:p )
