hi guys, does this auto look fishy to you? Melbourne Storm 2007 Premiers Cameron Smith Signed | eBay sure as hell does to me, doesnt look anything like cameron's signature. Hope nobody is silly enough to buy the item from this seller. Just thought i would bring it up, im sure theres alot of people faking signatures around the place - real shame that people go that low to get afew $$$

mate when i saw it, i was shocked, what idiot goes to the time to frame a obvious fake, then write a description that isnt true (as reckless pointed out). I feel like sending him a message to ask him when "cameron" signed the card Also with this in the auction "Would look great on any wall" - it should be "would look great in a bin as my 3 year old did the signature" LOL
After looking through about 10 Cameron Smith signatures that I have, I seriously doubt that this is real. If it is, Cam did it straight after a weights session when he had no muscle control in his wrist, or signed it blind folded.
Cams signature is much tighter than that and the lines in Smith are similar but all wrong. The C kinda looks ok.

"This item contains an ordinary likeness of Cameron Smiths signature" That is what your listing should read.
This is the Message I have sent to the seller. Everyone should send one in. Try and get these morons to realise that they fool no-one.

Well there is even more fake signatures he has listed - the Nick Riewoldt and Joel Selwood are signed so small its hard to make out (personally both fake in my books - no player signs that way on a card -seriously they are tiny), i would say if he has faked that many, that all would be fake
I agree.. I have quite a few cam smith sigs.. I got myself.. One or two I got in a rush (one just as he hoped into a car..) and even the rushed sigs weren't as loose as that one.. It disappoints me that people knowingly lie when selling pieces like this.. And he never signs for where it looked good in the 'picture' he just signs it..
Although.. Sometimes.. I admit that when signing paperwork in a continuous beat....... I doubt my own signature at the end of the day..

I am not in any way defending this Ebay seller BUT...
I went to the Souths fan day last weekend. I met all the players (bar Sam Burgess who was absent).
I also own a Greg Inglis, Roy Asotasi, Eddy Pettybourne and Dylan Farrell Top Prospect signature card.
NOT ONE of the autos on the jersey I personally had signed by them all looks anything like the cards they signed for Select.
The closest is Eddy Pettybourne...but still...
Just saying.

Yeah i know what you mean, i reckon anyone can now scribble Gasniers auto and say it's his and it looks nothing like his old one, the one i got on Monday night is so crappy that it looks like its fake if you know what i mean...
Alot of NRL stars admit to having different signatures for 'paid' signatures like the select ones and 'non paid for' like the free ones they do for fans..

That's terrible.. I have seen so many of these lately.. It almost seems better to have a set minus his signature these days...... I know I removed him from centenary set because it was pathetic.. I have no time for players like that.. Gasniers attitude with sigs recently has made me dislike him as a 'person'.. Where is the pride?.. Darryn Lockyer has been signing for years and years and years.. And you would never see an auto of his like this!!.. Because.. He still has some sense of pride.. For himself and his fans..

When he walked out the first time, he was sooking he wasn't get $$$ and wanted to know why NRL was making money on footy cards and tazos and the players weren't.
I had a letter published in the SMH saying he could FO and take all my Gaz cards with him.
If they don't want to sign decent sigs, then don't do it.
Fan days - FMD - we were all members. I actually told one lot that you couldn't get in WITHOUT a SEASON TICKET so it's not like I was selling the jersey on Ebay. No offence to some of them, they can barely string a sentence together, I hardly expect them to be able to sign their names.
I know Tim Sheens a few years ago berated all his players for scribbling.
And lastly, after I'd got my jersey fully scribbled, I mean, signed upon, I went to my sister-in-law's and she had a fully signed 1998 St George Dragons jersey. The sigs are all clear and I could make out EVERY single player. So...I dunno...
