There seems to be alot of confusion over 'how much' all the cards are worth.. I notice.. Just by looking on eBay.. That everyone's view is different.....

For example.. The Dragons Redemption...... $150???.. I would have definitely thought more!!

Signature Redemptions...... Different for each player.. Which is usual.. Hayne/Carney/Boyd in the lower range (400-500).... Yet Slater is 600++.. What are your thoughts on this? In my opinion.. Slater is a sure thing for a Future Immortal.. So.. I am not surprised about the 600-800 mark I have been seeing........

$150 to me is right. Its just a winning predictor and with the fact most will get redeemed as there wont be people holding onto it trying to get the other 15, it will be the most common premiership set.
Boyd is worth more than Slater. Boyd is a Dragon, Slater already has a sig card and Storm collectors left with their premierships.

Supply and demand.....

You will find on ebay cards will vary from seller to seller greatly , from day to day greatly. I have an ebay shop and find I can sell the same card for $5.00 one day and then sell it at auction for $25.00 the next. It's a crazy market but it does always come back to what the buyer wants to pay. The prices on ebay are a far cry from what a card should truely be valued at or what is the realistic value of the card.
I always base my card prices on a fair market value and also making a dollar on the purchase of stock. For example if I need to sell the Dragons redemption for $185.00 to make a return on my case costs then that is the price I will target but it is not necessarily what I think the true value of the card is. Also their is a big difference of what I card will sell for today and what it may be worth in the future. I agree with you on the Billy Slater. I would be selling this one for a higher price than the other 3 redemptions if I was lucky enough to have one as I believe in the future he will be a Hall of Famer and more than likely an immortal so the long term value is there.
So in my view it takes a lot of elements to establish the true value of what cards should be selling for and the mish mash of prices on ebay only provide a guide to the top and the bottom of the market.

There's got to be at least one fan left.. ;)

Geez you Queenslanders love Billy Slater. There are alot of players ahead of him that need to be made Immortal first.

That might be true.. But not in the recent signature set............ ;)

i have just noticed that the luke burt case card has this years logo on it but on his jersey it has the old logo?

your in quite the dilemma then.

Slater is good but he is no IMMORTAL...

^^^

lockyer has to be next

johns before he was found to use drugs, id say not anymore

umm maybe meninga aswell

bennet from a coaching perspective ? if he gets success with newcastle i assume he will be one day

Definitly Lockyer.. I just personally think that Slater.. Assuming he keeps playing the way he has for the last few years.. Will be an immortal.. Whether he's liked or not.. He's one of the best consistent players.. I'm by no means a Lockyer fan (even if I am in QLD... I go for the Blues in the Origin).. But I know he is Immortal material.. And you're right Girds.. Johns really was a foot in......... Until the drugs messed him up..........

my views on the strike cards-
this set really missed a parallel series....at first i was happy there was no parallel series but then when opening packet after packet with no hits in it hurts the pocket....9 base cards for $5.50 when you can pick up a whole base set off ebay for not much over $10 is a bit steep. i think each pack needed that little something else in it.
insert cards i am a fan! i like the designs! even though they are the same subsets as previous years i still liked the look of them!
as for card damage yeh i got a few that had a pinch mark at the top but the set i put in my album were all sweet:)
select have offered to replace the damaged ones so when i go to sell them i mite get them replaced. i didnt find any problems with the inserts i puled tho!

Slater needs a couple of legitimate Premierships to be considered for inclusion as an Immortal imo.

As a Dragons fan I'm less keen on the Boyd as in a few months he will be a Knight

Mal Meninga was lucky to get in the TOC so i doubt he is immortal, Johns has to be next. I am only 30 so i really dont have an opinion on older players like Provan, Messenger etc. Immortal status shouldnt be just given away though.

i agree but meninga has gone beyond proving himself as a player to win six straight series as a coach and they said that this would be in his favour the other night on the footy show.

i still think lockyer is more deserving.

I wonder if the rats and filth in NSW will still consider Big Mal for Immortal...LOL!

And considering Rugby League never gave him anything either...
