Collecting Sports History
- - The collection Is now 23 cards. 14 of those are worth money.
* First off, I gotta give shout outs to Arthy23 and Kenny3011 ... Both those guys helped me out with getting the Grant Hill card. If It was put on Ebay, I'm about 500% sure that I would not of gotten It. Most Hill collectors have much deeper pockets than I do, and are willing to throw buckets of money blindly for his nice cards.
* There are 4 cards In the Grant Hill Silver Set ... 2 cards In the Gold Set. I have seen 1 other from the Silver set sell, same size tag as the one I have. Sold for $315. The 1 card from the Gold set I saw, sold for $512.50 (Phoenix Suns Logo). Anyone know the where abouts to the others ? PLEASE let me know !
* ( At first I really wasn't feeling that there were 2 size tags out of the 4 cards from the Silver set ... But I drank a Sprite, got my mind right, knew that card was outta sight, and HAD to have It ! ).
* Timeless Treasures. 2010/11. # 4 out of 4 made.
* The Dirk card was just luck. Came across It and grabbed It quickly before anyone else could. I've always been a fan of his and gave the guy props, but really became a big fan from watching him during these Playoffs / Finals. He was pretty amazing. Gotta respect him for how he handled himself ... putting up with that Heat team would be rough ! Lebron, Wade and those guys obviously drinking too much Sierra Mist !
* There are 5 cards In the Nowitzki Silver Set ... 1 card In the Gold Set. I have seen 2 others from the Silver set sell. 1 for $40, the other for $125. (Both cards were the "NBA Game Worn. 2009-10 Season" ... The tag was cut In half between the two cards). The 1 card from the Gold set I saw, sold for $145 (Mavericks Logo). Sold before the Playoffs, so whoever got It was one happy collector. This Is the first time I have ever seen Dirk's size tag. Had to have It for my collection !
