Well Stuart looks like he could be the one, timing is everything, if he gets NSW over the line then the swell of support for him will be huge, just depends if Moore can ride out the whole season or a caretaker comes in like Dymock....

Steady Eddie could coach us, He certainly couldnt do any worse. I just want him gone..

Ben Lowe re-signs with Souths til end of 2014 ending speculation he was off to GC Titans.

The Manly thing was brought up a couple of times on Graeme Hughes' Talkin' Sports this arvo also. They said it still rumour though.

Massive signing by the Dragons

The St George Illawarra Dragons announced on Wednesday that forwards Will Matthew and Jeremy Latimore have both agreed to join the Club from next season.
Matthews, 23, is currently contracted with the Gold Coast Titans and has agreed to join the Dragons on a two-year contract that will see him remain at the Club until at least the end of 2013.
The versatile former Kyogle junior can play in both the front and back row and made his NRL debut against the Dragons in Round 16 of the 2008 season.
Additionally, Latimore, 24, has agreed to a one-year contract that will see the prop join the Club for one season, at least until the end of 2012.
The Port Macquarie junior started his career with the Parramatta Eels in 2009 before joining the Warriors at the beginning of last season and has made a career total of 31 NRL appearances to date.
Matthews and Latimore will join the Dragons in November

Let's put this one to bed for a while. This was sent to members today...
Dear Members and supporters of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs,

I write this letter on behalf of the Board of Directors to address ongoing media speculation regarding our Club, our performances in 2011, and our head coach Kevin Moore.

Let me state from the outset, we all agree that our on field performances to date this year have been below expectations, and like our Members and supporters, we are disappointed with our results. No-one sets higher standards than those we set for ourselves.

The playing and coaching group, along with management at the Club, shares the responsibility for our performances and everyone is committed to working harder than ever to turn things around.

It's important to note that the entire Club, from the board of directors through to the players and staff are all determined and united in our collective desire to improve our on field results. During the tough times, it's important that people stick together.

I can confirm that Kevin Moore and his coaching staff (Jim Dymock, Brett Kimmorley and Andy Patmore) all attended a recent Board meeting. This was a mid-season review that is scheduled each year and was an opportunity for the coaching staff to update the directors on a range of issues. A similar meeting will be held at the end of the season.

In relation to ongoing media speculation, I can assure you that Kevin Moore will not be sacked based on the result of this weekend's game. Kevin has a contract as the Head Coach of the Bulldogs and the Club will work closely with him and support him at all times.

Ultimately, all of our staff & players are held accountable for the results both on and off the field, but leadership is about lifting people up not tearing them down.

We are in a results based business and when faced with performances like we have seen in recent months, disappointment and frustration are two entirely understandable responses.

While we acknowledge our shortcomings, no-one at the Bulldogs is looking for an easy way out and nor do we intend to start now.

Hard work continues behind the scenes to ensure a better performance against the Storm on Saturday night and everyone in the organisation is accountable.

In closing, we have not and will not dignify gossip, unnamed sources or innuendo with a direct response.

Yours Sincerely,

Ray Dib
Chairman - Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

What happens if Melb put 40 on you?, then the following week the same thing happens?

That's seals it for me - Moore is safe. How can Dib sack this guy now. Graeme Hughes on talkin sport has been saying for weeks that he is safe and its just some factions within the club saying he is gone.

I must say it's nice to see the club stick together in worrying times. Everyone else seems to be looking for scapegoats which is almost always the coach

Its not up to Dib there are 7 board members, so he needs the support of 4 to be safe
I personally hope he stays and see's out his contract...

He seems to be able to rub the people the wrong way, did that at Saints, Parra, Newcastle and now Roosters, which club is next, maybe doggies might sign him up :)

Gordon Tallis gave Smith a towel up on 2UE this afternoon when chatting to Brandy Alexander! Said there have always been rumors about Smith......at every club he has been at!

Matt Elliott is signed as assistant at roosters next year. I don't think he'd get the job, but having his experience could allow for a younger coach.

Mind you they would be wary after the "Freddie" saga.

C'mon Michael, enough Dog bashing. Dogs don't pick up Roosters dregs. It's usually the other way around eg. Anasta, Mason, O'Meley, Myles. I reckon this'll be Smith's last time coaching a club in this country.

Former Knights CEO Steve Burraston described him as Jekyll and Hyde. He never knew who was going to show up each day. Would tell players as they were getting off the bus if they were playing that day.
